I agreed that we should cut old people some slack but old people should sometimes Zhi Tong also....

I face an old man riding a motorbike at 60KM/H on ECP center lane. No one is stopping you form riding at 60 but pls keep left or al least left of the lane. Not right in the middle hogging the road.

If they are all as humble enough to indicate that they are elderly drivers then I will certainly be willing to overlook their transgressions on the roads.

Yes, I do agree with you. My grandfather is one who is not so humble, despite the doctor telling him that he is not able to drive due to a certain level of cataract, he somehow manage to convince my dad and the doctor to let him drive. Within 3 years, he already gotten into 2 accidents. Fortunately, no one was injured, causing a renault kangoo premium to be over 3k+ which my father has to bear. There are still many stubborn elderly driving on the road despite TS's encounter.

I've been forced to do emergency stop in the middle lane on the expressway twice.

Luckily did not get bang from behind.

Both times I've drove pass to see old auntie and old uncle fumbling to insert their cash cards before the ERP gantries.

Incredible but what can you do.

sometimes, old folks can be very stubborn - like they owe the raod as they drove longer than you.

once, i was following very closely behind an ah pek in carpark (b'cos he was very very slow)

as road courtesy, i din horn him (but the cars behind horn at me non-stop)

suddenly, he just put on hazard lite.

wah cow, a stretch of 4 cars behind were fumed

i have no choice but to flash him & horn him.

he still took his time to move further up & parked into a lot, very slowly

he got out & scolded me for no respect to elders - he was trying to stop by the road to wait for his wife, and that I have made his wife to walk extra distance to find his car.

wah cow! he spoke as if he owns the road & I was wrong to 'push' him ?????

I told him that if i can overtake him - i will.... but its a 2 way & cars were continuing on the opposite

i told him that if he got guts, scold the rest of cars behind as they were horning 1st

he replied that its not his biz -

i rest my case & din bother with him . . . . got knows what if he falls on the floor (with heart attack) & blame me for that

At least you were safe.

The one I got stuck behind the auntie was in the 2nd lane expressway on the way to AMK at the up and down stretch.

I was the last car and 4 cars behind this auntie and hitting my hazard lights.

Sitting there looking at the back and side mirrors seeing cars cutting out and whizzing past left and right.

All the while sweating and praying to myself 'please don't hit me please don't hit me.'

Can't imagine if a big lorry were to barrel down towards us at the time.

Would have been gone.

Can you imagine how long that auntie was fumbling when i could actually wait for traffic to clear enough to filter out from lane 2 and drive past her?
