Car Cover, Where to get ?

Any body know where to get car cover other than auto bac ? ideally i would like to have those half cover type. that cover the top and the window only. Reason is for the thing to be smaller and more convinence to keep.

Think not easy to find those half cover ones. What car you driving TS?

 

Recently I went back for my ICT and went searching for covers coz wana park at camp and went to afew areas, Mustafa, Giant etc. Mine is small car so couldnt find coz mostly XL size and pricing not cheap either, around $25++ or more

 

In the end manage to find Size S in Tesco Tebrau for RM$38 (about sgd$16)

recently i was searching for a car cover as well to cover my 2nd car which i seldom drive. went around many places but ended up still bought from autobacs . the one i got is around 70 bucks.

 

reason i chose it is because the one priced at 70 is the cheapest among the "soft" type .

the rest of the covers around 20+ to 50+ all are heavy ,thick and the under side of the cover is pretty rough .

when you try applying the cover over your ride , most likely you will have to slide the cover across the paintjob surface and have to stretch here and

there making adjustments which would cause lots of unwanted scratches/swirl marks on your paintjob.

so my advise is , spend abit more , get something of better quality .its still cheaper than going for surface paintjob repairs.

 

my cover's material is very soft and light making it easy to fold and chuck it away in your boot .there are stretchable linings on all the 4 corners of the cover so it will not flip up if there are strong gust of wind.on my ride it covers down almost the entire wheel ,including front lip , side skirts and rear skirtings/diffusers are all covered.

only a very small portion of the tires are exposed.

I used to bought 1 from auto bac b4. but the cover could only last me a couple of month. Thereafter it start to tear. That one cost about 40-50 bucks. As most pple know. Auto bac has got a damm big chopper knife, thats y i dun wanna go there n buy.

bro go to stmfrd tyes , me already try many type of place either too small or the rain will go in no water proof ,at last me went to stmfrd tyes at Lok Yang Road (jurong) price aroung $70 to $80 , try to ask them which is better they have a sample to try out

good stuff, is the underside material like velvet type? like those you find inside jewellery boxes? Looking for something that confirm won't cause scratches to my paintwork....

I kept mine in the car within a pan.. den when i drive home, after parking, i put on top of bonnet to let it dry.

the underside is not velvet. but its really smooth and the material being light will not cause scratches to the paintwork surface.been using it for 2 mths now , no problem at all.

mine's water proof but only one thing to take note.when fitting itover your car , do not stretch it too much as the rain water could sip in through the stitches .

so all in all , get the correct size for your car and make sure there are allowance for it and not overly tight.

Hello there.. Have you found one yet? There are a lot of Car Covers that you can find in the internet.. they have pictures and samples that you can browse before ordering. But if you want to see them up close then you could look for a warehouse instead that offers them for different makes and models. You can get them at a cheaper price.
