E30s normal 4/6pots yes, E30 318is nope

I think E30 318is or 320is never came to SG right? Neither did the M3 came in.

I only saw E30 convertibles but not coupes. It can find a coupe, mod it into M3 will be very cool!!

Wow! nice!! Seriously if I could find one in decent condition (don't expect it to be good) I will be very happy. Can slowly restore the car back to its former glory and throw in a S14 engine....... S14 is BMW's 4 potter glory (just like Honda's K20A and Toyota's 4AGE,3SGE etC).

yup.. I even slowed down so that I can follow this fellow just to reminish its glory era in the late 80s... until he was heading to different direction...

318is never came here 320is was only was for italy & portugal. M3 was officially only LHD. There are suposedly a couple in SG but all prvt collection.

even if u find a coupe, it'll cost alot of $$$ to mod into an M3, not just the engine and drivetrain but the only body panels that were shared with the normal E30 coupe are the doors, hood and roof

318is was available in the States... (lived there throughout the 80s) although not very popular because it was seriously underpowered.. I even once saw commercial-ad in TV that Nissan Sentra SE-R beat this bimmer senseless in Autobahn.. crazy!

Yes, its seriously underpowered mainly due to a castrated M42 engine. The M42 is actually a very well built engine with lots of potential but BMW somehow decide that it should be only 1.8L and 130HP......... However, it can be mod into a good NA engine with 2L and 200HP.......

Unfortunately, its not really cost effective to do that.

6 potters BMW are widely available in US thus many just go that route and TC it instead.
