Wind30 Turbocharged October 30, 2010 Share October 30, 2010 (edited) guys, I am trying to sell my car. Nissan cefiro 2.3l. non facelift version. comes with gps (LCD screen) and reverse camera. registered Feb 2006. milleage 52k (ya I know it is super low cuz we have two cars and this car stays at home on weekends). agent serviced and still under Tan Cheong servicing contract (2 more servicing) everything ok except CD changer not working. I see the sgcarmart price is around 42k. Does low milleage helps? What price roughly should I be looking at? Is there anywhere I can get quotes from Agents or should I sell on sgcarmart direct? Should I sell direct? Is it difficult? There is no bank loan on my car. I think the procedure is just meet at LTA, buyer give me cashiers order to my name. I transfer car and give him the keys. That's it? Cashier's order cannot be fake or bounced right? my second car is a 1.5l selphy registered Mar 2008. I assume if I want to save money, it should be reasonable to sell the older cefiro rather than the selphy. Or can a newer selphy fetch a higher price than the cefiro. But then I well end up with a shorter COE (but I get to drive a 2.3l cefiro which is much more responsive) Both cars are not giving me any problems and both are paid up. sorry so complicated. Thanks for any advise. Edited October 30, 2010 by Wind30 ↡ Advertisement

Expertz 1st Gear October 31, 2010 Share October 31, 2010 we won't be able to help you without knowing the details of each car the OMV, price paid and stuff for all we know your cefiro is those $2 COE type of car, sell already sure cannot fetch high price or selphy got super high OMV, maybe got higher parf rebates than your cefiro? (for example) or purchase price of both cars? lifestyle? 2.3L car has very high road tax vs a 1.5L insurance? if you have no financial problems, can afford to buy another >2L COE 6 yrs from now and you love the cefiro then keep the cefiro, its surely a more luxurious ride than a selphy also can consider selling both and getting a BMW? afterall both your rides are fully paid up and COE quotas are gonna get cut again? Ladykillerz 4th Gear October 31, 2010 Share October 31, 2010 one simple way is to advertise both cars and see which one fetch a better price. the better price one will be sold, the other one continue to drive. then again, you got two cars and do you still need two cars? hmmmmm.. don't really quite understand what you are trying to imply. =P
Wind30 Turbocharged October 31, 2010 Author Share October 31, 2010 Me and my wife both drive. I think waste too much money so I am thinking of taking a bus since there is a direct bus to my office which takes CTE and only takes like 10 minutes bus time. I am trying to save some money lah so not buying a BMW. Both my Car COEs are around $12k, not much difference. Is there anywhere in singapore where there are a lot of 2nd car agents where I can go and compare prices?

Expertz 1st Gear November 1, 2010 Share November 1, 2010 i'd believe that the selphy would most definitely get a higher price primarily because its 1.5L vs 2.4 thus the cefiro will be harder to sell for 2.4L there are many other options that are better than a cefiro although the cefiro might be amongst the cheapest 2.4L out there ↡ Advertisement
