SLT export sets - HU prices

Just returned from Sim Lim Tower. Some prices as follows:

 

Pioneer AVH-P4250 - $580

Alpine CDA-9887 - $440

 

Above prices includes GST.

 

Pioneer DEH-P80RSII - $580

 

Not sure whether GST is included for this one.

 

All the prices were obtained from the only 2 shops selling export set HUs on the first floor. The rest of the shops on the other floors had nothing interesting on display so I didn't bother to ask.

I would not advise buying export HU from SLT. Some of the HU are actually factory rejects.

P80RSII for 580 export set...

 

er...u could get local set with installation and 1 yr agent warrenty for about 780.

$200 more for peace of mind + installation + 1 yr local agent pioneer warrenty...

 

If buying expensive electronic, it would be advisable to get local set...

coz if anything screw up...u can go screw the local agent.

 

Anything can happen with Electronics as you are not able to predict or know.

But for speaker is easier...plug it in..got sound or no sound only...
