Recommended GPS APP on iPhone

if your iphone is jailbroken, then download and install the sygix. I have tested that and it seems to be more accurate. I have installed and tested both Sygix and tom tom. Some how, i prefer sygix.

Any how, i am not impressed with the phone gps due to the fact that the phone gets over heated and also got disturbed when someone calls you. Though, you don't pick up the call, it still goes out of gps!!

At last ended buying a GPS and it is sleeping in the glove box.

Thanks bro, I'm a Student so I only used gps for interview or briefing. Maybe sometimes Malaysia with parents.

i dunno why, Garmin just refuses to create an app for iphone, even with its popularity.

It is because of their garmin asus phone..introducing garmin iphone apps will kill off their hp.

i want something like Map King on iphone, simple and accurate

Accuracy is not in terms of the map, but how the software do the routing and announce the next turn.

I got lost with Garmin and Papago because the stupid software never tell me that I overshot and need to U-turn.

Instead, the software ask me keep going straight until I smell something fishy when the "distance to destination" getting further and further [furious]

In the end I got to pull out my mapking to reach my destination

FYI, my garmin and mapking uses the same malsing map, but mapking give the best navigation instruction

I'm using TomTom GPS on my iPhone. The first time I used it it took me one big round! But the graphics is very clear and precise. Speaker is clear too. Quite reliable. Would be a great app if you are really lost!

default iphone GPS app is merely a google map without any voice navi.

the screen will auto-darken after a while, unless u go to the hassle of changing it in display setting.

if u wan a cheap and good map, try navfone or papago M6 lite, both at 9.99 USD and works well.

Side track abit... do you know where I can rent a Phuket map for my Garmin...tot of renting a car to drive there btw their rental for GPS is 200 baht a day......thks in advance

Don't have to rent. Just down load the map from Malfreemaps and thailand is inclusive.

i use sygics (android but i think iph the same) recently in australia and it's 99% accurate. when it says drive another 2km before exit on the expressway, i saw the 2km to exit signboard.. it's that accurate.. the 1% deduction is for bringing me to KFC when i wanted a McD... [laugh]

I used "NAVFone Singapore Malaysia GPS Navigation". It includes both SG and West MY map.

Test in Malaysia with 3G Data-roam, and it works.

It should be the cheaper apps, which is below US$5.00

How much does data roaming in malaysia cost? Got this impression that data roaming is going to be very expensive. Anyway I am using the navfone app for sg and west my, didnt require data roaming to be turned on to work. :D

dont be crazy... data roaming will cost u an arm and a leg... all those sygics, papago, apps are "free", meaning map are all installed, dont need data...not like google map.....lets put it this way, i can use my S3 sygics navigation gps without even need to plug in a sim card..... [:p]

Opps. Typo.

1) Should be "without 3G Data-roam"

2) cheapest instead of cheaper
