I received an email from apple stating that the new 4.2 is out.

I am using a 3gs. I had upgraded to the 4.1 and regretted as my phone now

freezes often and the apps tends to auto exit. I have never jail-broken my phone

before.

Has anyone tried the iOS 4.2 on a 3gs yet?

Never intend to JB the phone before... =)

I was just wondering if any fellow members has upgraded their 3gs to ver. 4.2 yet.

Interested to know if 3gs can support it or not.

Upgraded to 4.2.1, no issues so far

If nvr JB why have problems? can share what those problems are?

@kingcopa : 4.2.1 can aldy be JB and it is working fine. just that it is only a tethered JB if you are using newer 3Gs and IP4.

I am on 3GS. Just upgraded to 4.2. I find it more stable than 4.1.

When I was on 4.1, used to have a number of apps which will crash.

Now that I am on 4.2, have yet to encounter an app crashing.

My phone never JB before.

My phone tends to get laggy (espcially with typing) and sometimes even freezes, the apps auto exits..

Basically stuff that was never experienced before with ver. 3.4.1

Just cleared my apps. I will toy around with my phone and see if I still get

the same problems..

So you didn't encounter anything after doing an upgrade to 4.2 on your 3gs?
