Stratovarius Turbocharged May 2, 2011 Share May 2, 2011 This kind of job can try DIY one.. haha..the board shouldn't break la. Quite standardised for most cars. Ya, im gonna DIY. Lucaswh 1st Gear May 4, 2011 Share May 4, 2011 Wats the damage for the coils??? hmm long story..Got a BC for $600 c&c. couldn't handle the hardcoreness, swapped with a bro for cusco. Thing about Cusco is it's very close to stock monroe feel, albeit slightly harder. I would say it'll make for good city driving, surely not for track. Mit81 Clutched May 4, 2011 Share May 4, 2011 Depends on how clicks u set n wat series of cusco coils u r on. But now tat u have a taste of Taiwan n Japan coils. Wat's yr review between both of them? N welcome to the non-stock club. :)
Lucaswh 1st Gear May 4, 2011 Share May 4, 2011 Depends on how clicks u set n wat series of cusco coils u r on. But now tat u have a taste of Taiwan n Japan coils. Wat's yr review between both of them? N welcome to the non-stock club. :) The Cuscos are not damping adjustable. I would say a good set of street coils, gives just enough stiffness for my daily driving needs yet stiffer than stock. But it's still not the softest coils i experienced, I was on TEIN for my old vios, now that was soft for coilovers. The D2 Coils I had on for a while was HARD..at that point of time, damping was set to the harder settings but I could feel every bump on the road and every trip made me giddy. Spring rate was apparently almost twice that on the Cusco, or so I heard. At this point in time, I feel that Taiwanese coils are really bang for buck and offers high customisability for a cheap price. The Cusco I'm using now seems really 'soft' (all sense of the word) compared to the D2. Considering it is non damping adjustable, the buyer would be in for a nasty realisation if he bought it for track.
