How to cook fresh Abalone

If so fresh u still want to cook it for what? A waste of gd meat. Just slice thinly n eat sashimi.

 

I think abalone sashimi is crap. Too tough. Had that once and never will eat that again. For that price I rather get lobster sashimi.

alot of restaurants sell parboiled abalone as sashimi, as their abalone is actually frozen, not chilled fresh. That could explain the toughness.

The one I went to was straight out from the tank and they prepare it in front of you... You cant get any fresher than that I think (unless you go fish for some).

wah that's really strange. Maybe the one u had was on steroids or something LOL
