Jeff49er Clutched February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 I checked with a groomer - as long as the white base can be seen, no amount of machine polish can restore. The best is repaint
Nzy Twincharged February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 I checked with a groomer - as long as the white base can be seen, no amount of machine polish can restore. The best is repaint Cannot be removed totally but should be able to hide it so that no one will be able to see it unless they know that it is already there and look very very closely. Fcuktion Neutral Newbie February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 For hiding prolly they will use a glaze and a wax, removing is through compounding and polishing in turn leveling the paint work.

I meant hide as in use touch up paint then flatten, compound and polish it. So its the same color. Works very well on those flat paint but if the paint is those with flakes in it then can see one line without any flakes. But must look very closely lo. Nzy Twincharged February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 So using a touch up paint, how do i flatten the paint? Something to press on the paint? Flatten as in wet sanding. Should not try if u have not practiced before. Need to use a machine to compound and polish after that also.

Any sand paper will do the job and follow by a compound the polish and what polish do you recommend? No. Wetsanding is done by hand. But if u want can use DA. But i never use DA cuz i scared sand too much. The rotary is to remove the sanding marks by compounding then polishing.
Mlee 1st Gear February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 No. Wetsanding is done by hand. But if u want can use DA. But i never use DA cuz i scared sand too much. The rotary is to remove the sanding marks by compounding then polishing. So should be wet sanding by hand. Any sandpaper I can get at the shop. You recommend not to use DA machine because DA may sand too much compared to hand sand than rotary then I use rotary with compounding then i polish. Where to buy rotary machine, compounding and polish? Want to get rid one deep long scratch on my car.
