Had an accident last year Aug, went to insurance authorize workshop to have my car done and only recently found out they had installed a not compatible air-con coolant for me after i send my car for air-con servicing because of some sounds coming out from the car when i turn on the air-con. After 7 months I think you will have trouble "proving" they were the ones that did it - UNLESS it is listed on your receipt what coolant they used and you still have the receipt. Opel17 6th Gear March 17, 2011 Share March 17, 2011 Aircon coolant should be correctly called refrigerant [usually mechanic call aircon gas]. What sort of noises when you turn on the aircon ? Byond 1st Gear March 17, 2011 Share March 17, 2011 you must be talking about the refirgerant? R134 A who is the model that is used for cars nowadays... Currently, got two source one from china one from Europe Needless to say, which one is better.. but to save cost, most workshop uses China gas... it contains more moisture and is less pure... some of the more reputable brands... 5936 1st Gear March 17, 2011 Share March 17, 2011 (edited) Is air con compressor replaced. It could be wear n tear. Moste insurance give 6. to 12 month warranty on accident repairs. Nazuki Neutral Newbie March 18, 2011 Author Share March 18, 2011 ah.. is radiator sorry sorry... went to a car air-con workshop in jb cos recommended by fren. the boss saw the radiator straight away ask me if i kana accident before? then he told me the radiator is not original and is not cooling the gas and oil to the needed temperature and that causes noise coming out from the air-con motor. he did the normal servicing and insert a form between the radiator and the engine to prevent heat, then he ask me to monitor it for a week or so. if the sound still comes back then can say bye bye to the air-con motor, if get the radiator change asap.
