1fast1 Supersonic March 27, 2011 Share March 27, 2011 Oh believe me, I do. And I beseech others to do the same - and not think too much about things like ephemeral piddling "angbaos" and upgrading works.
Teryau Neutral Newbie March 27, 2011 Share March 27, 2011 I think now what we really need is an MP with a "Heart", not MP that are financially driven by status and power. The MP must be from the heartlander to be able to empathize with the heartlander. Not a CEO MP, an amry Commander nor a high flying succeesful professional. Success in the private or public sector is a totally different quality that is required of a "People" MP. Enough of the MP that follows the instructions from the bosses, we need an MP that can present our commoners view, he who is totally in touch with our day to day living, needs an aspiration. Not someone who is born with a golden spoon sittting at the ivory tower. Singaporean, I am one. I think its time we should really vote wisely, for our parent's medical care, our own retirement and our children future.

Scoots 3rd Gear March 27, 2011 Share March 27, 2011 Let's see... A Minister for Home Affairs who is not accountable for a limping terrorist escaping from a detention facility during a toilet break A Minister for Transport who couldn't be bothered to do anything about widening CTE nor admitting that MTR is crowded until it's nearing election time A Minister for National Development who didn't do anying about the housing crunch despite being on the same cabinet that approved the flood of foreign PRs and foreign born citizens, who very openly declared that everything has to do with the elections when asked about the recent housing measures A Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports who could actually allow a budget to blow over by 3 times ... Yeah...I'm definitely thinking hard about the long term future ...if this were to be allowed to continue

Kb27 Supersonic March 27, 2011 Share March 27, 2011 By voting for PAP you agree : 1. to unbridled import of FT to take away Singapore jobs, boost up hdb price and other property price 2. ministers pay is never enough 3. ministers can get away with murder. They are not easily replaceable and are too important to be accountable for any mistakes. Now, think carefully about your long-term future.

1fast1 Supersonic March 27, 2011 Share March 27, 2011 (edited) i dare you all to vote for opposition rather than talking big here There's no need to dare. I daresay many of us have already made up our minds to do exactly that, if we get the chance to (and things look quite promising this time). And voting oppo is easier than "talking big" in a public forum - the vote is still secret (no matter what the scaremongers may claim - consider the impracticality of sifting-through and tracing all those votes) whereas one is personally responsible for one's comments on a public medium (and rightfully so). So those who would "talk big" online yet guai guai vote lightning come the big day are the biggest fools since if they're going to be "marked", it would've already happened on the basis of their online statements. Might as well be hung for a sheep as for a lamb, right? So if you're going to talk the talk, walk the walk as well. My point is: for every person expressing strongly felt anti-MIW sentiment here, there are likely to be ten others holding their peace but actually voting oppo in the GE (if they can). No point "daring" people to do something they're jolly well inclined to do anyway. Edited March 27, 2011 by Turboflat4
