Bear in mind that the 60.2% comprised of some 'new citizens'....and 5-yrs down the road, there'll be more new citizens....we're screwed, the pappies' plan is indeed farsighted....

in 5 to 10 years time, i think there will b a greater proportion of educated young people who will form the main core of voters while fewer of the older generation r left.

There's still hope as the younger educated people may b less kiasi than the older generation. However, if a lot of foreigners become citizens, the playing field may b altered to MIW advantage.

Also The Singapore Strongman may not b around by then. By tat time, we may c MIW breaking off into diff factions 2 b more obvious.

Perhaps even the civil servants r no longer afraid to vote for opposition?

my estimation was correct. 60% +/- 2%. unfortunately cst did not win.

my ideal would be pp, hg, ajunied, bishan won by oppo. if holland also then bonus.

too bad. gy got "punished" when he really shouldn't. mbt, wks, vb, yi, neh ought to be instead. somehow they still get relative good votes.

i wonder if csj can run, and jbj is still around what would happen?

mp is no longer strong ground. think kate spade did gct in quite a bit. 10-15% gone from the last support.

PM's strategy of planting TPL to weaken SM's position as party elder has worked brilliantly. Should MM demise, SM vote count would put him in no position to challenge any decision PM wants to take. TPL is the best trojan horse planted to purge SM.

The journey of a nation to truly to becoming a true democratic nation takes a slow but steady changes to becoming one.

It is almost like nuturing a human to become is truly GOOD person.

It's takes many trials and also many errors before he/she become a good person based on the steady values he based his life on.

Singapore if allowed to develop, with more ppl worth their salt to come forth and stand up in time, will truly bring this nation to what many would termed truly as ...

A FIRST WORLD NATION,

I do not dispised the PAP but sometimes even the person who thinks he is RIGHT ALL THE TIME need a lot of time to re-learn what is truly good and right, for the ppl who he has under his care and NEVER to use or pass on those values that were so damaging and were used to govern his nation in those earlier years.

Start to understand the new generation of ppl, who will take a leaf or two from their older leaders and to always place the care of his ppl ...first and foremost in his heart.
