Paint first or Fix first?

Usual practice is fix bodykit already then send for painting?

What are the issues if I paint already then fix?

One advantage is no downtime for the car.

for one, color matching issue. minor, as a experienced painter can tweak accordingly.

and then also depends if the kit is secured by clips using stock mounting points.

or if the kits needs to be riveted in then putty to hide the marks etc. (if so, then no good to paint first...)

many stock bodykits are done separately. then clipped on. and it's off.

Fix first is a much better option. Some kits are not a straight-forward "plug&play" fit. Need work to make the fitting look better. In addition, bodykit fitting is a manual work, and sometimes minor scratches etc may happen. If it is painted already, then cannot rectify anymore. If your workshop gives a guarantee and honor it, then no issue. If not, then it would be very frustrating for a car owner.
