last time i drove a second hand car which the power window could not work also.

when i went to a mech and opened up the door panel, we found no mechanism inside the door ... just a piece of wooden pole holding up the glass window permanently !!

Had a similar problem recently, in fact it was one window failing after another. The workshop will only replace the whole assembly at 300+/set, which is too expensive for a 8 yo car.

Got to know this uncle: A-Hua, who is a freelancer. He'll come to your car to fix it; the only catch is he can't work if it rains cuz he repairs the window on the spot. Since then, I know a little more about power windows. (PM me if require the contacts)

note: he is only able to fix mechanical-related problems (which is most of the cases), not those complicated computer-related ones.

How much does he charge? [:/]

$120 for each window.

$120 just for labor, or inclusive parts/motor?

I was told my motor contact bad and the mech managed to get it to work temporary, but it stopped working after a while.

Was told motor will be gone soon.
