Great pics!!!

Do you know that Pantai Cahaya Bulan is previously known as Pantai Cinta Berahi? I think it meant hot sensuous love? It was changed when PAS took over the state from BN hahaha!

Now I have some idea of what to expect. Thanks bro...

Hi Bro

I did the round trip about 9 years back on my Honda City which is 5 years old then. Drove along the eastern coaster roads up to Kota Bahru and Rantau Panjang border. Then thru east west highway which is not a highway but rather normal 2 way traffic. Luckily the roads are not heavy with traffic. Stop at Ipoh and return to Singapore. All using the Malaysia map given by the Malaysian Tourism. Maybe you can visit Tasik Kenyir for the view near to Kuala Trengganu or even take a ferry to the islands.

Do enjoy your drive.

It was taken at the car park near the resort.

The lake was nicer in it's early years as we could see tree branches on the lake.

The alliance stadium, the picture was taken a few days before Lehman chap lup.

Hi Ben5266,

Now that you have mentioned that it was taken from the resort at the car park, I presume it's Belum resort referred to and it does look familar. The trees have grown taller now and while the view from the restaurant is good, it's have not quite a fare bit of trees.

Hi bro Kilatz,

Just remembered another thing - was informed before my trip by my colleague in Malaysia that Gerik highway is known for petrol road trucker hijacks so it's recommended that the trip to be made in daylight.

Think in your case, it shouldn't be a issue. Have a good trip and take many pics.

Yeah bro was told the road can be a bit scary at night so will go through it during bright sunshine.

I will take LOTS of pics hahaha!

Don't eat too much there. Maybe just for coffee break.

Your lunch should be at Grik, or even Kangsar. Much better food there.

btw, when you at KB, don't forget to buy the keropok, instant type. Here selling $2 each packet but KB sells RM1 or RM1.20 only. The keropok is produced in Tumpat.

Another local dish is the ayam bakar with thick coconut gravy. Very [thumbsup] and is only available in Kelantan.

Nasi dagang (pink rice with ginger) is also uniquely Kelantan.

On the way to KB we will stop along the road to try the local dish ESP the keropok leko which is great with the local chili sauce. Also will have fresh seafood when we find it :).

If you love eating then you should try a road trip on Indonesia. You can die eating all cheap fresh food and the view is great too. I jut had a road trip there last week. In fact I do it almost every month :)
