It's still much cheaper than TCM & BMS.

Eg; same Original parts from BMS for my headlight BMS quote me close to S$ 400 per unit vs Fong Tat after GST less than S$ 100 per pc. (Same Toyota Thailand made)

My Original oil filter my WS charged me @ S$ 8/- pc (Inlcude his markup) & Original air-filter from Fong Tat @ S$ 13 to $ 15 vs BMS of S$ 48 pc. You say leh ? So why not go for Original parts from Fong TaT ?

Btw, oil filter use different materials such as fiber, plastic & paper & others of which exterior of oil filter can't judge at all. I got few clients who go for OE (Claimed to be OE) oil filter and didn't check the matreial used of these OE filters (Was paper type @ S$ 2.50/-pc -- NOT to mentioned who was the suppliers over here of which i'm aware of who actually supplied) and end-up these paper oil filters gave way and gone into their engines & choke-up their engine blocks & eud-up major overhaul of engine (s) that costs close to S$ 1K each ! So save about S$ 5 for oil filter BUT paid for close to S$ 1K each for enigne overhaul ! What for ?? Think twice !!

Another eg: My wiper BMS charge me S$ 45 per set of 2 vs Fong tat @ S$ 23/- set ! (It's same Original parts from Toyota Japan) you said leh ? So why go for OEM parts where you already saved up lot of $$ for Original parts !

I will not consider recon alternator.

very very unlikely they are really refurbished unit.

But very likely taken from scraped car, or cheated off naive driver.

better to either buy new or repair original alternator.
