Meanmachine Supercharged October 5, 2011 Share October 5, 2011 You are rite & spot on, I had tried myself too. My Jap car parts can be bought at Tye Soon, Bencoolen st, always call U first and ask for avail part, they will keep it for U to self-collect a day or 2, Payment is by cash. I trust Tye Soon as much as I trusted Borneo, but pricing was a factor, U get original OEM and get service@Yr desired workshop, cheaper and faster delivery. Donut Supercharged October 6, 2011 Share October 6, 2011 How much is the average market price to change brake pads for 4 wheels (labour only), for Honda car? any workshop to recommend?
Yuan 6th Gear October 6, 2011 Share October 6, 2011 How much is the average market price to change brake pads for 4 wheels (labour only), for Honda car? any workshop to recommend? I think labour charges to change brake pads for 4 wheels should not cost too much. Maybe not more than S$50. Any workshop should be able to change for you. Just watch how the mechanics do for you. Happily1986 5th Gear October 29, 2011 Share October 29, 2011 Heng the Thai flood didn't cause the prices of spare parts to spiral upwards. Just bought a pair rear brake pads and a paper aircon filter. Total damage 57 bucks. You may think it is funny but over at the PC hardware scene, dealers have already adjusted prices for hard disks upwards in lieu of production stoppages in North Eastern Thailand since Thailand is a major HDD manufacturing hub now. Jerrimie Clutched October 29, 2011 Share October 29, 2011 some stockists ship small quantity so the shipping costs is high for each part but some ship in huge quantity so the shipping cost is lower for each part. That might be the reason for the difference in pricing.

Tigershark1976 Turbocharged October 29, 2011 Share October 29, 2011 Yesterday, my Jap car alternator broke down. Car suddenly experience loss of power and electric steering became heavy. Lucky was near my usual regular workshop. Mechanic told me alternator gone. Quoted me 8-900 for original Jap alternator, 600+ for taiwan OEM, 3-400 for recon set. I decided to call the various stockists to check price for original Jap alternator for my Jap car model. Call three of them. 1st quoted S$580, 2nd quoted S$800 n 3rd quoted S$800 but no stock. I re-confirmed with the first and its definately original so I bought it from them. The question, why the big difference in price 580 to 800 between the stockists??? I tot all of them should be ard the same price thereabouts??? So next time to check with different stockist. bro, what car r u driving? I ever trade in my elantra faulty alternator with a recon unit. The workshop at Yishun charge me $80 incl labour... that was 5 yrs ago.... I think the price should not be more than $200 after trade in, how come 300 to 400 for a recon unit? Happily1986 5th Gear October 29, 2011 Share October 29, 2011 need to know this as well Why do you need alignment to be done on your wheels after changing brake pads? Changing the brake pads does not in any way affect the camber, toe in or castor what.
