Sabbie Clutched November 12, 2011 Share November 12, 2011 Going by the points system in MCF, it seems that TurboCharge is better than SuperCharge, is this the case? Given a choice, would you SC or TC your car??? or buy a SC or TC car? Is this a topic for L & E or General Car Discussion? ↡ Advertisement
Jasonjst 3rd Gear November 12, 2011 Share November 12, 2011 Turbo = belt driven by engine , Super charger = driven by eletrical motors . Hence TC should be more efficent and reliable .

Sabbie Clutched November 12, 2011 Author Share November 12, 2011 Most of the VW cars comes with SC + TC. Yup but it's mainly mated to small engines so not really that powerful, also not that fuel efficient....

Sabbie Clutched November 12, 2011 Author Share November 12, 2011 Wonder why VW don't twin charged their 2L engines but only 1.4L. maybe cos there is enough torque from the displacement already, that's why the twin charge 14 can accelercate slightly faster initially compared to the 2litre TC...but once the boast kicks in then the 2l tc will overtake
Sabbie Clutched November 12, 2011 Author Share November 12, 2011 truly is..... TC driven by exhaust SC by belt so which more powderful?

Vega Turbocharged November 12, 2011 Share November 12, 2011 so which more powderful? Its a question of what you want. SC has no lag whereas TC has lag. I see more SC on bigger cc cars like the audi S series. ↡ Advertisement
