thats great .........  [thumbsup]

Personally I think someone from LTA shld do a audit after every road work ...  <_<

now is like anyone can just go dig up the road somewhere .......  [lipsrsealed]

Should be a proper 3rd party complete safety review of road construction, top - down, to ensure public road safety. How on earth a temporary patching can be implemented without proper monitoring and check? Worst of all if nobody has a clue where and how many are there at island wide now.... all these are already consider time bomb.

All need to apply some proper permits, so confirmed all are traceable cases and location knew. So no excuse to say it is impossible to keep track.

Funny, because too many wrongs so now we all think is a right and norm. Complacency.

Just to share there is aLTA number that we can sms feedback for them to fix pothole and bad patches. The number is 77582. Need to give location as precise as possible. So far they are quite responsive

They are indeed quite responsive to fix patches but usually they anyhow patch de.

so far those i feedback is ok. nicoll highway was done last year after i contacted them. toward CDB behind golden mile complex.

a few other places as well. one of them at hougang ave 2 toward ave 3,  tree roots pop up the surface, when drive over the car kind of jump up. can be quite dangerous to motorcycle. it took them a few months to do this one though maybe coz they need to work with NEA as it cause by the tree.

Watch certain areas closely like there is some themes going on for years.

Everybody is welcome to dig, and dig as often as you wish, yet nobody will watch how it done at all, as there is pure trust to everybody will conduct quality road work, if it is really poorly patched up or poorly resurfaced and there are not enough feedback to us on it, so then it will gradually be bench marked as acceptable standard to public. How good is the road? It cannot be 100% sure, anyway can just wait for public to feedback, sit back and wait for feedback. Now suddenly there are too many feedbacks as the flood gate open, all choked, and so just solve the most serious pothole and treat the rest as unreasonable complaints and request.

Just some observations. They need to be serious about improving our road, not giving us another temporary remedy.

bro, i am not disagreeing with you. i myself have witness the teleco digged the same spot one after another within the same month so was patch after patch and it wa like $hit. unfortunately our country looks set to operate in this model and we can see that things are starting to fall apart slowly.

1st world is only a myth, it will never happen here. Things are not yet falling apart, there is still hope. Our old folks had seen many of such cycle of transition, population growth or upsizing to sustain survival. During this period of transition, there are lapses, the top brains must have that balls of steel to admit lapses then move on and solve it properly.  Else, the lapse will be sweep under carpet, always awaiting for the next person to discover.

If you want that to happen, then vote them out first.

This morning i have spotted another small and big freshly made 5-6 potholes. One is even found right on the double yellow lines where cyclists will frequently use, should I ban my son from serious cycling for his safety, or maybe i tell him the truth potholes can be everywhere but don't blame anybody if accident happen. It has just happened overnight, i knew it as I use these roads daily. The road building material is seriously questionable. Wikipedia defines potholes as Structural Failure.

The problem had successfully snowballed to a new higher level year after year.
