Meetin Point in genting

Hi Bro, i need some advise and pointers from you guys.

 

I will be traveling from Cameron to Genting and my friend will be traveling from KL to genting. We would like to meet somewhere at the base of Genting prior to proceed up together. Would appreciate if some brothers here can recommend some meeting points or landmark? Best if GPS coordinates can be provided. Thank you in advance

Some suggestions :

1. Meet at the Genting Security Post, which is located just as you begin to drive up Genting Highlands. This Security Post is positioned in the middle of the road [between up and down directions].

2. Why not drive up, and meet in the Hotel Lobby, Kopitiam, Fast foods outlets.

Agree, meet at gotong Jaya. It is at the foot of Genting before the actual ascend to Genting resort. There are many restaurants and shops. Food and things are slightly cheaper than Genting. I will always stop there for food and durian if any.

- the 2 parties may be delayed one way or another in their respective journeys.

- even if going up together, finding a parking space is another story.

Note Gotong Jaya is not at the foothill of Genting. The one at the foothill is the pic shown in post #3. You need to go through a tunnel (alternative or old route to Genting Highlands) instead of filter left to Genting highlands on seeing the first signage.

Agree. Most likely the parties will be separated at the destination due to parking problems.
