"no contribution, also got hardwork done" type ... but i am still trying ... and i give myself up to CNY to do it, either my clerk goes or i go. this clerk is holding up progress in my dept and does not respect my position at all .... i just cannot understand why my boss just dun want to take the bugger out !! They always thought they are very "old", so you must listen to them rather they listen to you. This is not a joke: Ever got one sub-ordinate told me everyone in our department should respect him, although he confessed not knowing his job well, since he was the oldest in the department with his age. But what i dont really like about these people is their attitude and professionalism towards their work. Never stop looking for advancement. Never reject any good offer. If you fail to observe these thumb of rule as employee, you should be ashame of your attitude and professionalism towards your work, instead. Passion died down quite a lot for me compared to a few years back whereby I would stand up and fight for things which I feel its right. But now, I just take it and move on. If you find yourself sandwiched in between. It could be your fault not finding better employment earlier. One of the methods the Employer fire employee. I even heard of there are even some clerk level staff also dare to offend HR, and they also dont give a shi*t. this clerk does not listen to instructions .... tell the fella now .., and will do for a week or so ...then later will go back to old ways. do "dead job" very good ... no initiative except towards ppl the clerk feels good about. this clerk likes to choose people and prefers to work with friends rather than colleagues. comes up with ideas not approved by me or the company and gets the colleagues to do it. best part is i can discuss something with someone infront of my clerk (not involved) ... and after the discussion, the clerk will go and appraoch the someone and and pass information which cud have made it easier during my discussion. basically, there is no right or no wrong - if you are my staff, you are supposed to report to me and assist me in my work. this is the very basic, and if you can't do this, then "dead job" is just dead weight to me. Anybody can do "dead work", but i need ppl with abit of initiative and basic respect to your leader. weird right ?? i am dept mgr and can't even fire a clerk ??!! but what to do ... i also report to higher group. Your clerk sounds like my assistant, also no initiative and proactive in his work!
