actually the ex-health minister was right, go JB/Malacca better, the doctors there are more decisive and able to advice the patient or family member better

 

some more cheaper and can claim medisave

Funnily, seems from this forum, doctors have more trust in public system then the public

 

Frankly I won't ever send my parents to pte doctors unless they need some special surgery.

 

my dad was a civil service man all his life. they took care of all his medical needs. he got heart attack a few years back and they sent him to SGH the heart centre. he gaveit the thumbs up.

But they stopped it. In fact its a major benefit for civil servants last time, but now civil servants health benefits r very lousy

Many years back, a brother was injured in a traffic accident. His hands unable to flex like normal. The doctors wanted to cut the tendons to straighten the hands. Somehow I sensed it to be wrong method. I told my parents and siblings I objected to such medical advice. I had him discharged against medical advice. Then sent him to a martial arts instructor who is well known for treating injuries. Now my brother can drive and can swim.

I believe those doctors had somehow panicked over the injuries, new to them

A patient A comes to see doctor Lala and wants to know what his exact cause of his illness and the cure that goes with it..

 

Lala doc charges a bomb for his 'supposed expertise' in treating his patient...

 

At the end of the consult ( or rather after many expensive tests and consults) ..all it boils down is only two statements from Lala doc that made patient A understood ..

 

That all the money he paid was down the drain...not to mention the time wasted..

 

Statement 1

 

Patient A : Do you know what is the exact cause of this illness?

 

Lala doc : I;m not so certain or words that have been used many times..like unknown, not sure, probably, could well be , your guess is as good as mine. could have been this could have been that, ...etc etc..

 

Statement 2

 

patient A : Could there be a better way to manage this illness than all these continuing expensive tests and medicines?..,I don't feel I'm getting better.

 

Lal Doc : Well, we could try this ( note the word TRY) or why don't I carry out another few tests$$$$...or I could change your medicine..or we could TRY another approach...etc etc

 

In the end patient A told Lala doc..

 

I think since you have ALL the time really been guessing and trying...could I go to the casino just once and guess the number on the roulette or try my hand at a few high risk games with high payout?

 

At least, I could hit a jackport somewhere or somehow and for once..

 

I get PAID BIG TIME INSTEAD of me doing the PAYING ALL THE TIME!
