Actually I remember KBW already said in a press conference a couple of months back that he guarantee that the BTO prices will not go up if building costs does not increases, ie he is no longer using Market prices as a bencmark for BTO.

 

That I think is very important point. wonder why nobody actually remember it.

 

Not unless HDB is transparent and opening up it's books for people to scruntise.

Otherwise it's difficult to take his word for it.

 

Not forgetting, now all new HDB flats are built using pre-fab materials.

Do you know who owns and operates these pre-fab yards?

 

Though using pre-fab materials shortened the construction process, another middleman is introduced into the equation. Do you think the pre-fab yard will not want to earn?

 

From what i heard, there are a few pre-fab yards here under the same big boss. They have the monopoly, and to complete your project on time, you die die have to purchase from them. And yes, i've also seen m'sian trailers transporting these slabs over. Either they are trying to get around the sand import ban or trying to get cheaper deals out of sg. If not then take it as these m'sian trailers are moonlighting in sg.
