Thanks Darryn - I hope we can provide some useful information which can help people find the best insurance for them, wherever that might end up being.

 

For a company to engage on forums like this is really a thankless task, and my hat goes off to Direct Asia for making the effort.

 

The reason that it's a thankless task is that there is a huge level of ignorance out there, people that can't read for comprehension and people that will very deliberatly distort things to make the company look bad. if people could be a little more honest to themselves, and do even a little bit of research first, then it would be far more beneficial to all.

 

Take Roger's post as a case in point

Which other car insurance co. only insure u while u driving to and fro to work?

 

DirectAsia has three *(if I recall correctly) options -

a) personal use only

b) personal use + drive to and from work

c) personal use + drive to and from work + drive for work (eg - out door sales)

 

NONE of their insurance covers ONLY driving to work - this simply wouldn't be logical for any insurer.

 

To me - it seems to make sense, rather obviously someone that is spending most of the day on the road is going to have a different risk profile to someone that only uses their car to drive out to the coffee shop on the weekend.

 

Once again DA - please keep this up - I hope that more follow your lead.

Why buy car just to drive to and back from work?

 

Kind of silly isnt it....

 

If i drive 50% to and back from work and the rest of the time for other purpose like leisure, then u shd charge only 50%

of ave market quote.

 

 

Selective reading really makes people look like fools though.
