Recently my car have been giving me some problem.

When driving during high speed, there will have this "gong gong gong" sound coming from the front.

The noise is most obvious during downslope when I release the gas pedal (no engine noise)

Gong sound comes in around 70km/h

I have went to few workshops and all can't pinpoint the problem.

Since then I have change front absorber, front wheel bearings, tyres, do servicing.

Today also check drive shaft not this problem.

Anyone got good workshop to recommend? Greatly appreciated.

What is your car make?

It is likely a suspension problem.

Check your front anti-roll bar linkages and lower control arms. Given the sound only happens when the front end is depressed (high speed and slowing down)

I am driving a 5 yr old Honda Jazz, CVT. While decelerating from 80kmh have this high pitched wheeee sound all the way till it reaches 60kmh. Never do any ICE, so it's not the "aeroplane" sound faced by pple who upgrade their ICE.

Delerelating from 100kmh don't have this sound. The sound only comes out when gas pedal is released AND slowing down from 80kmh to 60kmh and below 60kmh this wheeee sound stops.

Can be due to many things. U need to narrow down the possibilities.

Mine used to have hissing sound during high speed, above 90km.

After change mine wheel bearing the sound disappear.

But like what gasguzzler mentioned, it might be due to many things.

For a start, Try turning off aircon to test.

You can try rotating and re-balancing your tyres.

An unbalanced tyre can cause the 'Wong x infinity' sound but usually it should be increasing in frequency as the speed increases. No harm trying since it should be about $15 to $20 only.

It does sounds like your fan motor could be spoilt or going to spoil considering that you have changed bearings and tyres.

Check out Ricardo cars, they are pretty experienced with PI Toyotas.

Previous used ccent I bought came with light gauage/weight steel wheels (about 3mm thick). I suspected that at higher speed, the wheel flexes and gave me funny sound. I swapped them for thicker gauge wheels (about 4mm thick) and the problem was gone. Could that be also your problem? Can check if the wheels are of lighter gauge/thickness than others?
