Happily1986 5th Gear February 11, 2012 Share February 11, 2012 Traditionally, Nexus flagship models come out of the factory with the latest Android OS iteration and therefore with the latest software enhancement. However, it is a different sotry when it comes to class leading hardware specifications. Btw i don't really give a damn between 5 and 8MP for the camera because the CMOS sensor to begin with is small. Secondly, low light noise performance is still crap. Otherwise, cameras on most smartphones are pretty decent barring subjectivity in colour reproduction and saturation. So buy Nexus if you want get hold of a phone which boasts of the latest Android OS build (at its launch) or buy the Galaxy S series if you want class topping hardware specifications. Happily1986 5th Gear February 11, 2012 Share February 11, 2012 specs wise galaxy nexus better Backup your post with info. Galaxy Nexus utilises PowerVR SGX540 as GPU which is actually found in Galaxy S i9000 whereas Galaxy S2 i9100 utilises ARM Mali MP400. it is obvious that Mali MP400 is more powerful than PowerVR SGX540. Anandtech Local variants uses Samsung's inhouse Exynos (ARM A9 licensed design) 1.2 GHz. Nexus similarly uses a licensed design based on A9 also clocked on 1.2GHz so give and take about the same. Once i found out about their hard locked bootloaders, i didn't bother taking a look at moto droids. This might possibly change after Google's takeover. SLSAMG88 1st Gear February 11, 2012 Share February 11, 2012 I have the Galaxy S. Biggest regret of my life. I vow never to buy Samsung again. This is a total sh1t of a phone. It's so bad that I am considering buying an iphone. At least that piece of over-marketed, teenage girl bling works!

Dwoon 1st Gear February 11, 2012 Share February 11, 2012 Wait for S3 ???? - S had to root, run custom firmware and overclock to get rid of lag. (same as 1st generation Galaxy tab) - S2 .... I'm still on stock and its sufficiently fast and lag free. (don't need it to fly and take a hit on batt life) - Note .... also stock. Although internet seems to run faster than S2, but general usage seems to be laggier. Got some querky bugs like being kicked out from web browser sometimes, etc... but so far considered as not bad. - S3 ..... I'm just waiting for it
