Kangadrool Supersonic January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 (edited) This is the French's system. A380's door problem - are the doors made by the French as well? My French car is also having some door problem for the past two days, then it self heals by itself. A door of d BJ LRT train opened mid journey on Friday morning. SMRT blamed on signaling system. Chrispie 5th Gear January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 (edited) To lighten train load and also cars on the road. It's actually very simple. Whoever that can work from home, work from home. Even if one person does that one day per week. It's a 20% drop in commuters a day. With our high speed network, why can't that be more widely practiced? At the end of the day, just get your work done. Where it's done shouldn't make any difference. Edited January 24, 2016 by Chrispie

Kangadrool Supersonic January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 And they assured us before that train doors will never open when in motion due to some safety mechanism?!? Blueray Hypersonic January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 Bt Panjang LRT been lots of issues since day 1. Some years back a wheel was dislodged and train still proceeded on for a distance, causing damage to the track as well. Remember there was a press conference and Khaw was on it ... maybe he was independent party for that BOI ... not sure ...

You think so easy to revamp the current train system eh? Like smrt is changing their current signalling system to improve the train frequency to 100 sec, and seems like they are taking a long long time to change it. Until now the new signalling system is still not ready yet?!

Until now the new signalling system is still not ready yet?! yes, LHL mentioned it at a National Day Rally speech some years back, the train interval improvement thingy ... don't know whether it has been upgraded, but then coincide with sleeper replacement exercise so all trains had to go slow ... probably negating the benefits if the system was already upgraded. keep hearing about challenges facing the operators but one thing for sure, fares kept going up until the small reduction on 27 Dec. When can train go faster after the sleeper replacement exercise? If train has to go slow for donkey years due to sleeper replacement? Then no point upgrading on the signalling system. Nowadays think even cycle is faster than taking the train. Lol.
