Thanks. What colour car is the easiest to get dirty? Just to share your experience.

White and black, also light colour easy to get dirty. Silver is the colour most easy to maintain and even get dirty also not obvious.

zzz. Thought black is the colour that is easier to maintain. Btw is it normal to have watermark and or water dry up mark on the car? Coz everytime i wash car and dry up using a cloth, it will leave some dry up watermark. New paintwork should not have this issue right. Ps, alot of question.

Black easy to maintain? [confused] Watermark will form on the car body because the water is left to "bake" and dry by itself esp under the sun, then watermark will form on the car paint. Also if you didnt polish your car often.

Watermarks form on any coloured car when left to bake. Its only more obvious on darker cars.

However, an upside of dark cars is that dirt particles are harder to see.

If a black car and white car are left to bake, the black car can see watermarks, the white car can see light waters marks + black rings around the water marks.

So i think black easier to maintain. :D

Yes it does. Use a MF cloth and rinse it frequently.

Yes, that's how it should be done.

Soap one time, then rinse in water. Then repeat.

I have to disagree. To keep a black car looking nice (read: shiny), it's really difficult.

Grey is easiest to maintain.

However, if you don't wash your car at all, then it's already black, so it can't get any blacker

I normally pre-rinse the car by splashing water, then use an MF sponge to squeeze soap on the car, then lightly clean the surface using the MF sponge, with rinses in a bucket of water in between to clear the dirt from the sponge. Also, I work from the cleanest parts down to the dirtiest. Even then, I have still noticed light swirl marks. Oh well, perhaps having that perfect car-wash technique is like mastering kung-fu.

I usually wash and wax my own car. It's quite time-consuming and can be tiring, but I feel reluctant shelling out the extra $ for others to do it.

While there are certainly wash & wax services out there which do an excellent job, there are also many who do more damage than good (swirl marks, scratches, wax residue ++).

Hands down should be black cars. Dirt and grime, dried water spots, road sprays etc all show up the moment you drive your black car out. White cars shows up dirt very easily as well. But scratches don't show up so easily on white cars, unlike black cars.

Even if you don't drive your car, just leave it parked in the carpark for a few days, dust also accumulate on the surface. Especially on the boot / trunk / rear bumper.
