So somewhere between saturday night and today, I got this. I park at hdb carparks for work and home. This is in addition to two on my bonnet which I got maybe one year ago and maybe another 1-2 on the sides... There was another thread on this but I couldn't find the title anymore.

Hi everyone, Can I ignore this scratches or I should just patch it up to prevent it from getting deep and eventually rust the metal? If its just at the clear coat level, I guess I can ignore it right? Generally how much does fixing scratches cost?

Actually, the scratch is more like a "scrape", slightly larger than one hand's width, and about 6 inches length, affecting both front and rear doors on one side. Brought to a workshop (which shall not be named here), and was quoted about $380 - this is for repairing the damage and respraying the two doors, plus respraying the front bumper which was involved in another minor scrape earlier. Though have been driving for some years, this is the first time I've to repair a scratch on my car. Which is a good thing, actually... But would like some advice on the price range for such a repair on 2 doors + 1 bumper - is the quote reasonable, or I kena ??

Hi all, last year my new car was coated (i paid over $1k for it) by one of the more reputable coating companies. Car was only 2 days old when it was coated. 6 months later, there were scratches on the boot surface, and water marks on boot, roof and bonnet. The applied hydrophobic effects on the windscreen is also gone. I sent the car back to touch up. Another 8 months later, I had to respray certain panels because I cannot take the scratches. Yup, some ppl scratched my car. But besides that, I have many lines near the door handle, and lines on the bonnet and boot. I've never put anything on them. The guy who repainted my car told me the water marks on my car very bad. I told him cos I park outdoor daily, thats why I know. I did coating to prevent, also cannot. I have to send it back to be re-coated. So after 1 year 2 months of ownership, I don't think I get what I paid for. Maybe coating is not suitable for people who park outdoors. Am I the only one who feels that coating was over-rated? Or it has limited capabilities when it comes to handling the harsh weather, especially for people who park outdoors. What could be a better solution? (besides clean the car everyday! haha)

Guys, My car headlight has some scratches and a bit blurish but not yellow stain on them. Anyway to get rid of the scratches? Read on the internet, using sandpaper method or some polish cream. Any good recommendation ? DIY or Professional services ? I called Autobac, only can get rid of yellow stain. Thanks in advance. -

"Two selfless heroes managed to rescue the cats before the SCDF arrived, getting injured in the process," said Francis, who lives a few blocks away from the affected block. "Five cats were rescued and one of them was, unfortunately, slightly burnt." His photos showed long scratches on one of the men's arms. He also shared a video of the men who were joined by other Yishun residents as they tried to put out the fire with water-filled buckets and a hose.

My 10 year old car has a lot of scratches around the door handle area, probably caused by fingernails. I'm changing car this year so I was wondering how to avoid that again. Nowadays I heard there is a nano-coating treatment that forms a protective layer around the paint. Is that enough to protect against these kind of scratches, or still need to install the transparent laminate film?

Has some scratches on left front bumper. 2 slices of paint are gone exposing the black metal. I went to a workshop, and was quoted 150 for repainting the entire left bumper. Is there any other alternative? Is 150 for half front bumer reasonable?

as turning in the mscp in a tight corner and was abit too complacent. Ended up with the area above the rear wheel impacting the edge of the wall. Sian Half. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendation of where to repair these damages? agar agar how much? Dont have to be top notch, just want to reduce the scar , if not see liao damn sian. thanks.

Hi, looking for a service (some top coat?) on car paint works to try to prevent Scratches, Discoloration of Paint from hot sun on a daily basis (exposed carpark). I have been looking at those 2nd hand cars thats being groomed by car dealers but from far, looks shiny n bling but upon close inspection, can see lots of swirl marks on the material. I think the basic coat of the car paint has already been damaged because of this polishing or whatever u called. So i'm looking for a service that dont create this problem. In the long run, hope that the extra $ fork out on the protection of paint = less time spend taking care of the car n if need to sell off later, hopefully can command higher price because of extra care taken to protect the paint Any recommendation? Thank you

Tried to remove some minor scratches on the alloy rims (non glossy non shining type) with fine sandpaper on a boring sunday. Managed to buff out the scratches but left a bit of polishing marks . It is not noticeable unless look at it closely. I can live with it. Do I need to do anything more on the affected areas like applying a protective coat?

One idiot lorry driver had reverse and scratch against the driver side door of my car. He sped off before I could stop him, leaving behind few deep scratches measure about 15cm long. Part of the car paint chipped off too. Anyone can recommend where to do the touch up of the scratches and respray of the driver side door. Thanks

My sister-in-law drive a Nissian Latio and hit a Toyota Estima accidentally. The Toyota Estima driver ask for $490 ($350 to respray the scratches and $140 to rent another car in the meanwhile). My sister-in-law is readily pay for it while we think she is being carrotted. The scratches looks really minimal. I have attached the photo of the scratches here. What do you think it is the typically cost to compensated the driver?

Recently when to Melbourne and rented a car from Hertz. Unfamiliar with the car, so ended up scraping the kerb during parallel parking. Returned the car, and they told me will get multiple quotations from workshops and charge me the exact amount they get charged. End up, they charged me A$230 (S$300) on this scratch on my credit card. I think the charge is pretty excessive. Any gurus care to comment? Any recourse for me? I have emailed them on my thoughts on this matter to try to reduce the cost, but I doubt that I will get a favourable response.

this morning while turning into the MSCP slope, accidentally scratch the front bumper against the wall. no dents but there are white paint marks on the front bumper roughly the size of a 50 cent coin. will Scratch X be able to remove the scratches completely? thanks in advance

My headlight got a deep scratch and I tried to remove it with a scratch remover from autobacs but cannot since it is deep. can anyone recommend a shop who can do it.. I googled it and found it needs polishing. thks

Plastic dashboards are prone to cracks and scratches. This usually happens when a vehicle parked directly and exposed to the sun's heat. Some would use material covers on the front dashboard such as feather, fur, etc. Research had shown that it may adversely affect one's health. On the other hand, some concur that it may affect the visibility of the driver. Are there any products or methods that can be shared to prevent and remove the scratches and cracks on the dashboard? My ride is black and every now and then I spotted new mysterious fine scratches appearing on the body. I am quite sure they are not done by vandals as the scratches are really very light like from a cat's claw,but I don't think there are any cats roaming inside my condo estate. Anyone got the same problem? Could it be my car washing method? Each time I make sure I spray off debris and dust before washing with microfiber wash mitt and drying it with microfiber towel.

Hi all, My door handle area suffered from finger nail scratches. I saw some cars actually come originally with it or can affixed with aftermarket cover plate to protect against finger nail scratches. Do you guys know where to get them? Thank you very much. Regards,
