My car broke down along TPE abt 6pm this evening. In less than 5 min, a member of the Orange Force officer came and rendered assistance to me. He tel EMAS and parked his bike and switch on the blinker and put up the breakdown sign behind my car and kept me accompany till my own tow truck arrived. He was with me for more than half an hour. He also went to check out another van infront of me that had also broken down. He also gave me his name card and told me that I can contact NUTC should I need any help. I was very touched with his act even though my car is not insured with NTUC. To be honest I might insure with NTUC when my insurance expire next year. Thank you very much to you, my dearest Malay Orange Force Officer. I really appreaciate your kind assistance. I promised to publicise your name tomorrow cos yr name card is inside my car. I've left my car in the workshop for them to replace my brake pump. I hope NTUC INCOME read my post and give credit to this kind and helpful officer.

Sheep fart forced SQ7108 flight to make emergency landing in Bali, Denpasar on Oct. 26, 2015November 4, 2015 ¯\(°_o)/¯ Belmont Lay 289 3 A Singapore Airlines Boeing 747-400 freighter plane en-route from Sydney, Australia to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was diverted to Bali Denpasar on Oct. 26, 2015. The plane, flight SQ7108, was carrying some 2,186 sheep on board and was forced to make the emergency landing some 45 minutes into its flight, after the flatulence produced by the animals was mistaken for smoke in the cargo hold. There were four crew on board. Upon landing, emergency services boarded the aircraft and reported that there was no trace of fire, heat, or smoke. According to The Aviation Herald, the smoke indication alarm sounded due to exhaust gasses and manure produced by the animals on the plane. Flight SQ7108 re-departed after the two and a half hour stop in Indonesia and reached its KL destination two and a half hours later. Via The Aviation Herald: A Singapore Airlines Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration 9V-SFI performing flight SQ-7108 from Sydney,NS (Australia) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) with 4 crew and a cargo of 2,186 sheep, was enroute at FL320 about 400nm south of Denpasar (Indonesia) when the crew received a smoke indication in a cargo bay, descended the aircraft to FL250 and diverted to Bali Denpasar for a safe landing about 45 minutes later. Emergency services did not find any trace of fire, heat or smoke. The smoke indication was identified to be the result of exhaust gasses and manure produced by the sheep. The aircraft was able to depart again after about 2.5 hours on the ground in Denpasar and reached Kuala Lumpur about 2.5 hours later.

Australian police force gets new Honda Type R as new patrol car

New South Wales has received a new police patrol car in the form the FK8 Honda Civic Type R. However, it won't be chasing bad guys. Thanks to Honda Australia, the New South Wales Police Force has been given the new hot hatch for the next 12 months for promotional duties. Set to be utilized in the ‘Eyewatch’ social media initiative that aims to connect people with local police forces, the car is one of the tools that will try to encourage citizens to be active participants in making their communities safer. Making its public debut at the Fairfield Police and Community Expo in a few days' time, the car will be taken to events throughout the state. “The Civic Type R has been engineered from the ground up to deliver the most rewarding driving experience in the hot hatch segment. SEREMBAN, Malaysia - Doctors at Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital will perform a surgery to remove a bullet that was lodged in the rib cage of Malaysian Crime watch Task Force (MyWatch) chairman R Sri Sanjeevan. State police chief Datuk Osman Salleh said the 29-year-old Sanjeevan has been warded at the hospital's intensive care unit in stable condition. "He was moved from the Kuala Pilah hospital early today for the surgery," SAC Osman said. SAC Osman said the victim was shot once. The bullet pierced his right elbow and lodged in the right side of the rib cage. "We have also put our men on duty at the hospital to prevent any untoward incident," he said. Sanjeevan's family members are keeping vigil at the hospital since he was brought here from Kuala Pilah. Sanjeevan, a bachelor, was shot by a pillon rider when he stopped his BMW car at a traffic light junction in Taman Cempaka at about 4.30pm on Saturday. He was then with another friend. SAC Osman said both the riders on the motorcycle had dark complexion and wore full-faced helmets. Sanjeevan managed to drive some 300m and later asked his friend to take over the wheel. He was taken to the Jempol hospital and later to Kuala Pilah hospital. Police have classified the case as attempted murder under Section 307 of the Penal Code. SAC osman said police have detained Sanjeevan's 35-year-old friend for an unrelated case. "His friend was on the police's wanted list for a drug related offence. "I wish to state here that the friend was not detained for the shooting incident as reported by the social media," he said.

Since the internal plastics on my car's gearknob crumbled and broke off and having replaced it in the car, it meant i had a spare knob with a pretty good exterior to play around with. So i decided to see if i could customise my DFGT's knob to fit. Took quite a bit more work (& time) and some small fabrication to get it to fit but it's in!
