  1. Where got reasonably price service to clean and reseal the headlight. Notice some condensation on the inside face of the transparent casing... before my ballast goes kaput. TIA.
  2. Hi all, anyone experience light clicking or clattering sound in their auto car when during light acceleration? The sound is very much like a manual car accelerating and upshift of gear when the speed for that gear have not been attained.
  3. Maybe they were in a rush or had some emergency to attend to? But no matter what it is, there is still almost no excuse to cross the road when the lights tell you not to. 2 young teens were knocked down by a taxi along Paya Lebar road on 1st of Oct 2020 as they crossed the road while the light wasn't in their favour. The 17 year-old female pedestrian was conscious when taken to Raffles Hospital while the male refused to be taken to hospital according to The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). He seemed to suffer from some bleeding from his knee but was still able to move around on his own. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, said the police. Check out the various angles of the accident video on SG Road Vigilante.

    LED light strip in headlights

Any Bro knows where to install LED light strips for headlights? It's the fad these days. I saw some vehicles having the white "eye liner" day running lights in their head lamps. Some are new cars like the Audi, Mercs, Volvo. But some are after market. Anyone knows where to install? I bought mine online. But don't know who can install. Your help and comments appreciated. Cheers.
  5. Seem like I had beat the red light at slow speed where can sense the bright flash. I was doing a left turn & it is not going straight or turning right. Any idea how to go about appealing? If appeal does it means waive off the fine & the points? Some expert offering the solution: (1) Use other driver license to own it up. Pay fine + demerit points. (2) Appeal to TP. (3) Appeal to MP. Normally how long would get the letter to be sent to the home address? Hope do not have then can Z.zzz in peace.
  6. Unlike our previous blog post, this is neither weird nor uncommon. Unfortunately. Shot earlier today from an unknown camera vehicle, a red light-beating mini lorry which was carrying an unspecified number of passengers at the back, flipped when a taxi smashed into it. The accident happened at the junction of Tanjong Katong South and Mountbatten road with the driver of the Transcab taxi appearing fazed but unhurt. The video, which was post by SG Road Vigilante, did not mention what injuries there were and how many were hurt but we could see at least two passengers emerging from rear of the lorry after it was on its side. Obviously, this was the fault of the lorry driver and the netizens wasted no time slamming him online. One of them even put up a good point on why are people still allowed to sit on the rear of lorries where there are no seat belts. We wish everyone who was hurt in the accident a speedy recovery.

    Dashboard sabre light

Any bro installed dashboard sabre light? Can share pic what is look like when the light is switched off. Thanks
  11. Obviously the camera is meant for left-hand drive market, which is why the light and button is on the left of the camera. But are there are ways/mods/accessories so the driver knows if its green light is on? Asking because just discovered the green light has been blinking for so many days wihout me knowing. Luckily nothing 'exciting' happened before I realised this. For those not familiar, this is what the camera looks like:
  12. 2 weeks old Hyundai Elantra. Scratch to a pole when I make a reverse turn on a narrow road. Left side tail light cover crack, but all lights function well. My own car. Any suggestions? I only treat it as a transportation for my family. So do not want to spend much on repairing it. 1. Bring back to Komoco. But I do not think warranty will cover any. 2. Claim insurance. Excess 600. Maybe I just pay repairing cost and next year premium increase. 3. Outside workshop. Not sure what the cost for the light cover. 4. Use glue or tape to fix it by myself. To me the looking is not an issue. Wait next time go JB or has other issues repair together. Any ideas. Please help. Thanks.

  19. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/halogen-light-bulbs-to-be-phased-out-all-lamps-sold-to-be-as-10866584 SINGAPORE: In an effort to spur consumers to switch to energy efficient bulbs, the National Environment Agency (NEA) is raising what is known as the Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) of light bulbs, which will effectively phase out halogen lamps. The agency is aiming for all light bulbs in Singapore to be, minimally, as energy efficient as LED bulbs from 2023 onwards, it said in a media release on Friday (Oct 26). Under the current MEPS regulations, halogen or incandescent bulbs, which account for about 5 per cent of all regulated lamps sold in Singapore, must attain a one-tick rating, and LED bulbs must attain a two-tick rating. From Nov 1, 2019, all bulbs, incandescent or LED, must attain a two-tick rating on their Energy Label when brought into Singapore for sale. Anyone who flouts the MEPS regulations when they come into force will be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding S$10,000. The NEA will also introduce two enhancements to the Mandatory Energy Labelling Scheme (MELS) - more than 80 per cent of lamps sold in Singapore will be covered, and displaying of energy labels in all publicity materials, physical or digital, is now mandatory. These will take effect on Nov 1, 2019. “It is important for consumers to be able to differentiate energy-saving products, such as LED lamps, from less energy efficient products," said Mr William Song, the sales marketing head at LEDVANCE, a lighting supplier. "This allows them to make informed choices and benefit from the greater durability, light quality and lower energy consumption of LED lamps, which results in cost savings for families in the long run.
