Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear March 24, 2012 Share March 24, 2012 miw is spending our money to bring in PRC, giving them free education, hoping some will eventually become citizens to vote for them, and grow the 60.1..... Those really better ones want to return to motherland where environment will be better. We lost again.

Jeff49er Clutched March 25, 2012 Share March 25, 2012 Heard from friends in the educational sector: This has been going on for donkey years already. These PRC students were recruited from all provinces from China (Beijing, Xiamen, Guangzhou, etc) by Principals, Vice-Principals, HODs sent there on trips lasting about a week. Tests were given on the spot, marked and contracts were signed on the spot. Few months later, they are in Singapore (all expenses paid + allowances) to join as Sec 3 Students. This is the best part, during Holidays "Language Professionals from British Council were engaged to be in their secondary schools to teach them English" - FREE. LOCAL STUDENTS?????????? This is the hard truth. Once they start work they can apply for PR and then citizenship. Also they can also go back to PRC - there ways. This is foreign talent for us.
