U mean the disc will also wear out?

How does that work?

my original rotor was worn out.

eg. (trying to explain) the rotor part where the brake pad rub is much thinner than the tip/circumference of the rotor

most of the 159s have a "hesitation" in the 1st and into 2nd, unless driven hard. its probably a software/exhaust system thing.

You either remove it with the Sprint booster, or a tune to increase throttle sensitivity.

I decided on a tune for my ex 159.

morning alfistis!!

got a very silly question...

if i change a wrong size tyres, what will happen huh? [:(]

Initially wanted to change back to stock size for 18" 235/45/18

But remember wrongly end up with 235/40/18....

Wat's the implication huh? [:/]

when ur speedo meter is reading 100km/h u r actually slower

http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculato...-cde-gen-by-svr

but corner slighter feel better with slightly better FC due to lighter tire.

this is base on my experience on previous ride a SUV

haha..

I think its more than enough.... unless you keep changing at 5000rpm :)

Look like I'm ok with 'normal' driving [drivingcar]. I dun really zoom off at green light, if need to, will drag 1st gear to 3500 - 4000rpm and upshift, there is no hesitation. For more power, make use of your right foot, don't need sprintbooster, just sprintboost the right foot. My consumption is 8.5.

Any bros here try to capitalize on the JTS system?

Apparently something about direct injection at <1.5k rpm

Supposed to save fuel yet give power

I been trying to catch it at slower speeds I.e. maintain <1.5k

Or shld I even bother? Lol

Don't think, it not even moving at 1.5k rpm, it will jerk like crazy.

I upgear then until 3 or 4 then let the rpm drop

Trying to catch a pt when I can maintain both speed and rpm on small road

Not sure practical or not

Constant gear changing will wear out faster bo?

What abt city to manual mode?

I think only 1st gear wear out the clutch faster since it is on half clutch. Manual mode when you want to drag to redline.

Neutral Newbie

It is exactly becos of the lousy change of 1st to 2nd gear tat I am forced to drive in selespeed mode but soon realised this is a much more better way to drive the bella.

I dun drive hard, my gear changes are mostly btwn 2.5-3k rpm. 1st 3 days, I drove without a Sprint Booster and it takes some effort to get Bella to move on 1st gear without being too hard on the accelerator. But after installing the Sprint Booster, it was a much spirited drive, enabling me to move off much easier and thus able to do lower rpm gear changes from 1st thru 3rd gears.

Based on my "ah pek" driving style", I am getting an avg FC of mid 9's km/l. Is this an avg FC for all here? I am on my 3rd tank only tho.

But I do understand to fully enjoy this Bella, she needs to be driven hard [laugh]

Ah Pek yielding 7.2km/l top on very light foot for first 2 weeks. But averaging 6.4km/l thereafter, just enjoy your ride. [wave]

Come to think of it, my jerkiness is in the city mode leh

Manual is oh so smooth

Question: do u upgear by speed or rpm?

I.e. gear 1 to 2 at 20kmph or 3k rpm?

I do the former...

Shift by rpm....using speed to upshift, you maybe upshifting the wrong gear

Hey bro do u mind sharing with me the cost for the sprint Booster? I'm still in the hunt for a second hand novitec if it's available and I gotta a feeling these two components will compliment each other nicely... Lol!

Ok, just to clarify on the Spring Booster. It is has no incremental effect on real power, no increase of bhp, it purely shortens the throttle response electronically, thus the more spirited ride as u need not depress too much to make our heavy bellas move. I hv been using Spring Booster on my ex-ride (Ford Focus) for over 6 yrs, so I am more accustomed to using it. The day after I took it out when I was handing over the Focus, it felt so underpowered, unwilling to move off.

Disclaimer: I dun work for Sprint Booster [angel]

Like wat Saabretooth mentioned, try it to see if u like it before u make the decision to get it. One man's meat is another man's poison [cool]

This may sound like I am marketing for a sale of the SB [:p] Coincidentally, I hv a fren who has just confirmed tat he will be trading in his 159 for a brand new ride and has a SB in it. He has asked me to help find another owner for the SB. PM me if interested and will pass u his contact for u to deal direct. Btw, this sprint booster is also compatible wif the Mito and Guiletta.

My benchmark is by rpm. I try gauge by listening to the (sweet) growl to decide when to change gear instead of having to keep looking at the tachometer.
