Scoot

Forgot to add on my experience. I used Scoot awhile back to repatriate my FDW. First and last time.

Numerous postponements, including a final one *after* she had already gone through customs (so no choice but to wait inside). Terrible communications throughout. Getting through to their hotline was a nightmare. Talking to their (Pinoy-sounding) staff when I finally got through was like getting my teeth pulled without anaesthesia.

Malindo Air has served me much better, and it's only a bit more expensive.

Noob question.

Read from Scoot website FAQ that web check in available only for Singapore, India, Seoul, Japan and Berlin and is available 72 hours before departure.

During web check in, is seat selection available FOC ?

Thanks.

No, have to pay.

If you want to sit together, better pay.

Took the flight to Kaohsiung and I saw a couple who didn't sit together.

The bf sat in front of me and the gf sat 2 seats to my right.

[grin]

Wonder the bf will kenna force fed with smelly tofu by the gf after landed or not?

HK ... first time try Scoot.

Scoot? Prepare for an extended staycation... if you're lucky it won't be after an immigration check-in so you can't even escape.

Even full service airline like SIA also need to pay for seat selection. Only can FOC provided under one booking got a child below 12 years old, subject to certain section of the seats only.  [laugh]
