Does anyone know any history or info on this car? Am a serious buyer.

http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...093&DL=2440

Was thinking of getting as a short term runabout cos its somewhat affordable. Most importantly, will be breakdown as much as what ppl say? Is maintaining it difficult and are parts hard to get locally? I dun mind the occasional hiccup, just don't want a car that will leave my gf stranded by the side of the road.

Any opinions/comments are welcomed.

Thnx!

manual ones hardly any problems. it's the 2litre selespeeds that have problems.

just go to alfa sportivo to look for Peter. parts are readily available no worries. just buy and enjoy.

Heard about your other car. Sad. But glad you're alright.

147s in manual form are a hardy bunch. See you in one soon.

Cool. It's mostly for the gf, cos she says my car anything happens, rips big holes in wallets.

anything i should look out for when viewing the car? any common faults or common wear/tear items that need replacing?

There's someone selling a very well maintained 147 1.6 Manual. very well maintained, but also rather well tuned. not sure if you're in the market for that kind of thing.

only if its cheap. haha. cos thinkin of just using it for the next 2-3 years +

arocsg still around? need to pay? the whole need to pay $$$ to access the forums totally made me drop off alfa years ago

also, are parts spare parts expensive to buy? and any electrical gremlins i should look out for?

I don't think they are that expensive. like some of us have mentioned, the manual is much more reliable than the selespeed's. havent really known about any 1.6 manual with major problems - those are always the 2.0 selespeeds. Nothing Peter cannot solve.

I remember there were the 120bhp and the 100bhp versions. This one is the 120bhp, I believe.

Black 147. Thats my bro's car. It was quite a big impact as Nissan driver claims he panicked and stepped on wrong pedal  Yes its a he not a she. [rolleyes]

Car still needs repair to rear bumper and replacement of left fender.
