Foo Brothers at Tampines bro. Best to find a workshop familiar with Scooby, cos apparently 08 models always have this problem.

To those bros who dun like pls bear with me

Whenever I see this statement, I really feel Subaru really damn gd at marketing or those scooby shops damn gd at it

Scooby owners really all brain washed?? Have to go to them n at their prices man

When I got a used ts 1.5 yrs ago, I encountered sane thing

Stockist not disclosed like other brands do

Go jb Ws, all say can't do cant do ard pelangi area

Sone in Sg said the same thing

I was thinking hong gan Liao, bought a super lemon car must die die repair at their scooby Ws

Till I go back my old reg Ws in Singapore

He told me, cant do is bluff one but layout is indeed diff

Can try but take longer tine than other jap made

I say I got x, I only no $ nia so I waited n did it at normal jap made prices

Those Ws who say they r not into scooby are jus imcompetent IMO

Sorry I jus blahing , pls ignore me for those scooby frenly supporter

Telling me NA Subaru timing belt package must be > 800 to 1500

Rubbish I did all original jap parts only 300+ 400

Tks to scooby thumbs up Ws

Mine does have the horn sound when I lock & unlock my Ts. It comes stock with it when I collect my Ts frm M.I

my signal lights will just blink one or twice ... no sound at all.

since no alarm, maybe can consider to change to those "wheels" brand aftermarket alarm.

used to listening to sound when the car is locked or unlocked.

yup .. although ended up paying abit more ...esp the insurance ... but i have my 苦衷。

btw, any wagon owners here ?? i tried to find but it seems that the wagon does not have remote boot opening ?

thinking of changing to aftermarket cheap alarms so can hear the sound when lock or unlock the car.

maybe you can try holding the Open button for a short while.

I just discovered mine that way (despite having driven this car for the past 3 years).

Im with you on this bro!

Scooby arent any different from other japs car.

Anyway, The common mistake most ws do is just changing the timing belt on the scobby. There is a few other things to change too. If not you just wasting the belt.

not really leh, was quoted 1200 for changing timing belt / engine oil but dunno what other belt inclusive for 80K change last time.

did not really asked what was being changed for my forester, by the way its at one of the well-known scobby workshop.

guess a lot of things need to be changed at that stage.

hmmm... dunno which well-known workshop you went to, but the one I went to charges $1K. I know there are others that charge around $800+.

"Timing belt change" is just a convenient name. Other than the few belts, it also includes changing the water pump, tensioner, and some other peripherals like gaskets.
