For the santa fe if u need to access to the third row the sit on the secound can only one fold as for sorento is two fold I think it much more easy to enter .
Longg8 Clutched September 17, 2013 Share September 17, 2013 Want to update here, my Kia Sorento, Diesel, 2013 model, just passed the 18,000KM mark already. Smooth comfortable ride, even my customer from Indonesia whom drivces a Merc and Ferrari commented it is a torquey ride. The power is there, the features are unheard of at this category and price range. Plus full tank of petrol i get close to 800Km of drive - from a SUV? Unheard of. My family was wondering if a KIA can really make it, Korean car...but all those Korean fears has been dispelled by all the Korean pop culture and people are more and more open to Korean products, the KIA is no different, the President of KIA used to be the Chief designer of AUDI, so you can see little traces here and there with more professional layout, color choices, design cues. Built quality has been amazing, the award winning 2.2L CDRi is - one word - WOW. AWD all day also is great, love it! The MoonRoof - love it! The Head Lamp pop out washer (never know it until a friend saw it when my ride was stationary) did not even know about it. - So it was a pleasant surprise. Aircon - Dual Climatic Zone - Love it! Can be a rugged 5 seater or a spacious 7 seater at some quick config of the seats - Love it! The rear storage compartment - wonderful The ample storage spaces, bottle holders! - LOVE LOVE IT! Auto collapse side mirrors, with lights up for signal and tilts down for reverse parking. Amazing stereo sound system - I can help but love it again! Two front seats with power seats, drive seats come with power memory! - Me...like! Bluetooth hands free call in-car mic and plays the call through the speakers - ingenious! Various steering options, for the different type of drivers preference. Reverse Camera for those whom are terrible at parking... The All-Day, Day LED lamps - fierce and nice road presence. Auto lights, cornering lights, - wow, can it get any better? Self Parking - Yes SELF PARKING - All in a well built SUV for up to 7 seats, immense amount of torque, sorry, I should say, INSANE amount of torque! Air-con ventilated seats, for the two front seats + all seats with heating controls for those rather chilly mornings, helps to warm your buns! Oh....just one more thing.......It has 5 Year Free Warranty! For a Conti car of this caliber - that would set you back by 250K and more! I bet you can tell me more, but already with this, I am pretty exhausted already! Great ride, fantastic mileage, well built, and lots of spare parts, means easy to maintain. My family all love the Sorento, its a little wide at first, but after awhile you learn to drive with it. Cheers!! [laugh]

Bro i almost bought a 2013 sorento diesel, already sign dotted line but end up i cancelled cos i got a used E200, maybe i am still worried about the reliability of KIA. But after heard from ur review, it seems reliable. Its a nice car, ride feeling solid even goes through uneven road with minim feel, as if road was straight and even. Good bodyroll but one critique i have to say is the feel of gas pedal, thats only downside for me
Echelon 3rd Gear September 22, 2013 Author Share September 22, 2013 So far not bad, but need to hear from other owners. Not every car is perfect. Knock on wood, its been good. I am discovering new things all the time. For example the third row aircon can also be contolled at the third row not just by the driver, that was a nice surprise for me as I was not expecting that. The E200 is an awesome drive, I would have gone for it, if not for a need for a bigger ride. A sedan right now would not fit for my family, mother...helper, two growing kiddos. I need a 7 seater.... Dk1865 Neutral Newbie September 30, 2013 Share September 30, 2013 Ordered a new Kia Sorento from Cycle & Carriage Singapore. Was told that the car is being shipped out end Sept 2013 to Singapore. In looking at all the reviews in the web, I see reviews of 2013 and 2014 models, so am lost as to what is being shipped out of Korea. Does anyone know? I know I can check with the dealers but would like to hear from someone else. Thanks.

Tohto Hypersonic October 1, 2013 Share October 1, 2013 Damn u echelon. U really made me damn farking itchy with ur review If you have not drive a diesel car before, you should try it. I have not own any diesel car yet, but I travel regulally to Germany will always get a rental diesel car. Always enjoy enjoy the huge torque from the turbo diesel engine. My next car will definitely be a diesel car if the price is right.

Also do note that what we get in Singapore is the EURO spec model. USA has slightly different lay out for the water holders. Our Spec is one of the best SPEC Sorento out there. Almost fully loaded. Enjoy! You should be getting the latest, does it have heated/aircon seats? And LCD dashboard? If yes, its the latest model. Damn u echelon. U really made me damn farking itchy with ur review Sorry bro...but I have not even completed talking about the car yet, it has cruise control, adaptive lights, adaptive fog lights, loads of storage space, pull up privacy curtain for the rear seats-Only found in high end european cars. Engine is the best still and I get 789km on a full tank on a SUV! Plus good road presence too! QUOTE (Friendstar @ Sep 30 2013, 11:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damn u echelon. My next car will definitely be a diesel car if the price is right. Totally agreed, I took a loooooonnnnnggggg time to decide to get a diesel and I only went for the turbo diesel, coming from a 1.8T Skoda, I needed another turbo car and there arent many turbo SUV out there. Those that are, are priced above my comfort level. Found that price/specs/feature/ and ride size and comfort, I am really surprised by the Kia Sorento, they REALLY massively improved PLUS 5 years unlimited warranty, really helped when calculating the numbers. Plus its a 7-Seater - that was the buying criteria for me. Not many 7-Seater SUVs out there and I have tried them all. Seriously, KIA is a good quality stable ride. Just go try it already!! Dk1865 Neutral Newbie October 10, 2013 Share October 10, 2013 Thanks Bro for the update. Have not got the car yet, supposed to arrived end this month. So not sure of the details yet other than what I see in the brochures and the info from you. Yes, you are right in that they call it the 2013 or 2014 model with some confusing details. The 2014 is supposed to come with the 8inch dashboard display, so not sure what I get. Hope it is the 8inch as the 4 inch looks small.
Friendstar Supercharged October 10, 2013 Share October 10, 2013 I seriously donno how kia can improve on this car. They are spoiling their own market with so many features on a relatively affordable ride. thats my take. My bro in law is stupid to choose an old Volvo xc90 over this Btw the xc 90 has lots of problems. ↡ Advertisement
