It feel like a knocking sound when the brake was depress half way. but if i depress hard i wont have the noise. lile i mention earlier, the sound came when brake was half depress.

@chiefdale

The sound persist at every point of the day, n it came on when half depress of the brake pedal only. Dunno shld I send in during the 1 k servicing or now. Current mileage is 200km

@newlife

I guessed I know what you're experiencing as I also heard the knocking sound but I just kinda ignore it. Checked before and was told not much of a problem. But maybe you can check with them when you send in for 1k?

@Buadongdong

The screeching sound I think most of us all encounter it but normally at the start of the day no way to rectify the issue still. :(

@chiefdale

Same case for me too. Forget to ask for the camera.. end up signed on the dotted line then rmb. But luckily my SE bear half of the cost for my blackvue 650 2ch + power magic pro.

Glad to know more ppl with City now.

This car is v nice to drive. It's even quieter than Vezel or Shuttle.

I hardly hear any engine noise when I drive.

In fact, when I start engine, I can't hear the engine running

City so good ah?! Lol.

Probably  V9 or V7.

I believe the memory card given is 16gb. U can upgrade to 64gb at max and no need to spend the more expensive iroad memory card

Read up the info about MLC memory card here.

https://www.carcamcentral.com/guide/recommended-sd-cards-avoid-sandisk-ultra-cards.

Iroad is by default is always ON 24 hours and the only way u can do is unplugged the cable from it. Some owners choose to install a switch for easy switch off on, On the parking mode, u can motion and also set the sensitivity.

As the camera is sensitive to motion such as uneven road and hump, i will off the event buzzer "announcement"  on the setting. Basically it mean a "event" is recorded and it will inform u during your drive. By default, it is ON and maybe u should drive and see whether it irritate u

Cant remember the exact but the auto cut off voltage setting should be 12.3 to 12.7V. Probably your SE will advise on it.

Thank you very much. All noted.

Hi MPCH, I feel it is more like abrasion sound rather than knocking sound. Cos ferry kids to sch n Wife to work every day dun Wan compromise safety. But no time to take leave n have the car inspect. Now drive less than 80km/h to b safe.

@Lime0011

thats nice if SE throw in free dual channel cam for him/her, i only realized i forget to ask for car cam after signing, end up paying additional 300+ for the front blackvue cam at that point of time as dual channel much more expensive.

@kweklj22

early feb thats in a week or 2, u be getting ur new ride soon!!

wanted to wash car last weekend to let car look nice before cny but was lazy then last 2 days keep raining, probably have to wash on eve of cny le.

I am no hurry so I agree registering 7th February and collect car 10th February.

The car actually comes with rear camera and now with this free front camera it is a complete set.

My SE really gave every discount imaginable to close this deal and as an appreciation I later introduced 3 of my friends to her which she closed the deals too.

I think you should try to schedule maybe on a Saturday morning to get it checked or else monitor for awhile more since only 200km now. Better not to play play.

So far I've asked several workshops outside and they all say the abrasion/screeching sound doesn't compromise the braking performance leh. After KM serviced the brakes, it did went off for a while. But not long after, it came back again.. Thats why i completely ignore it already.

Don't think its necessary to drive under 80km/h to be safe la.. The brakes still works and i'm travelling at speeds in excess of 90km/h also no issues. But its entirely up to you though.

Yup, what @Buadongdong said is true.. it's generally up to you if you find that it's really disturbing. At least you'll feel much safer having it checked, no harm after all. :P

@Newlife

Hey bro/sis, was given honda mat when purchasing the car, so on top of the default flat honda mat, this additional mat given is much more rough and have not bought any other mat so far. Usually i book 3 weeks in advance of the actual schedule date that they have written on their service sticker.

@kweklj22

Think you mix up le, the rear camera only be activated when u hit the gear to reverse, for your reverse parking guide. It does not do any recording at all. So likely you only have front dash cam recording live.

@Buadongdong

Bro, the morning brake sound came back again, this time round is not as loud as before, only slight screech when doing downslope of mscp then no more already.

CITY price now 92999 no $500 vouchers, no front camera, no 10% motor insurance discount and no steps illuminated plates - all the no(s)! hahaha

SE is very busy as many customers at show room - cannot chit chat.

BE A MAN - get Honda City - waiting and waiting is not doing any good to you, hahaha
