  1. Honda's a genius in churning out state-of-the-art small cars. Here's why. The 2014 Honda Jazz is 4cm shorter but it offers 138 liters more cabin-space volume and nearly 13cm of extra rear legroom - compared to the predecessor. Here's how Honda engineers eked out extra room in a shorter car. For starters, Jazz's wheelbase has been stretched further apart by 3cm allowing its rear seat bench to move back outwardly by 7.6cm. Next, engineers made the centrally-mounted fuel tank located beneath the front seats thinner liberating more space for passengers but retains the same liter-volume as previous models. Plus, the new Jazz could be served in a hedonic shade of lemonade yellow to go with its packaging.

    Honda City 4th Gen

It's just launched in Thailand. So ours should arrive soon too I suppose. http://paultan.org/2014/01/23/2014-honda-city-launched-in-thailand/ Looks to me that a high spec City is all the car that most people would need. 6 airbags, VSA, cruise control, rear a/c. Looks like no sunroof for Thai cars unlike India. It's amazing how 'low end' cars have so much kit these days (case in point:the Kia K3)! This level of equipment used to be only in much higher end cars.

  11. Hi all, i am looking for your opinion. In recent regular maintenance, my engineer suggested me to change the front absorber and engine mounting which cost about 1.5K inlcuding labor. I can feel the problem while driving and it is getting a little worse in the past 6 months. Howver, I am not sure whether I shall chang them now since the car is due in 3 years and I probably will change another car. what would you do if in my situation? thanks.

    Honda Stream

Looking at used Honda Stream (2008 - 2009 models). Anyone with ownership experience to advise what to look out for? Thanks in advance.
  13. hi all , need some advise here on steering wheel issue. like all other cars I've driven, the steering wheel will move itself back to center position either after making a turn or when I released my hands from steering wheel. I notice the steering wheel stays in the "turned" position , does not self center when I test drive(30-40km/h) a 2007 stream today. Have not tried making U-turn though. Mechanic told me there is nothing wrong because stream uses electronic power steering unlike hydraulics type. Maybe its really due to EPS but I still find it very weird to handle car like this. Any stream owners have the same issue?

  15. Have you ever watched a car accident video and told yourself in your head that “heng ah, it wasn’t me or someone I know”? I guess it’s human nature. The truth of the matter is – Even if you’re the safest driver in the world, all it takes is just one idiot driver to mess it up for you. So what happens if it happens to you or someone within your social circle? Read on to find out. Sometime in the evening yesterday, 28th November 2019, I received a message from one of my closest friends. It was an image of his heavily damaged Honda Freed. That’s how heavily damaged it was. The cause? This Lorry. It was a pretty bone-chilling sight, but the fact that he was messaging me meant that he was fine, so that was a relief. Eventually, he sent over the video footage of the accident. The video includes both the rear and dashcam footage. In the video, my friend, the Freed Driver, let’s call him Jeff, for privacy sake, is filtering into an expressway. A lorry follows suit, loses control and charges straight into the back of the Freed, shattering the glass on the rear windscreen. Also, that's a damn loud bang. In the car There’s no in-car footage, but you can hear a brief exchange of conversations between three people in the car – Jeff and his two passengers. Jeff and the other guy were worried about whether anyone was injured, but the lady, presumably in shock, could only think of one thing. She was carrying Thanksgiving potluck food with her when the crash happened, and you can hear her go “Oh no! The gravy casserole’s everywhere!” Whut? Image taken from bigover.com This is what Casserole looks like. Anyhoo, I’m glad all parties are fine. RIP Casserole. You perished so that others could live. The best Thanksgiving dish yet.

Hi, Just got my Jade in August. Having some problem with the doors. Advice appreciated. Problem 1. Car locked. Remote in pocket. Not able to unlock the door on the passenger side. Have to unlock the door from driver side. Once unlock from driver side, then only can be lock and unlock from passenger side. Once car locked, and walked away from car for 10 to 15 mins, cannot unlock from passenger side again (no response when holding on to the handle). Have to first unlock from driver side before the passenger side door work normally again. Problem 2. Boot door. Almost the same as above but with additional problem. Cannot lock with the button under the handle. When I pressed the lock button, no sound, no light, no function. When I pressed the unlock button, got sound, got light but cannot open the boot. All doors able to lock and unlock using the remote control Any bros with similar experience or can recommended workshop that can resolve the above issues.
  19. 2021 Honda Ridgeline Type R Will Produce Over 400 HP source: https://japancarsmanufacturer.com/2021-honda-ridgeline-type-r/ High-performance pickup trucks are obviously becoming a trend. One of the models that will draw the biggest attention is the forthcoming 2021 Honda Ridgeline Type R. Besides sporty appearance, this version will get more standard equipment and premium interior design. Many manufacturers are already offering high-performance variants, and Honda is known for its Type R brand. Ridgeline seems to be a perfect candidate for this treatment, and it will look astonishing. According to the latest reports, Ridgeline Type R will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2020. Once it arrives, this truck will offer unique suspension, more power, sportiness, and better comfort. Ridgeline Type R Comes With Impressive Sporty Vibe In terms of design, the new 2021 Honda Ridgeline Type R will look incredibly sporty and attractive. For a start, new aerodynamics are looking impressive. This mid-size pickup truck will also gain a couple of new exterior features. On the other hand, some existing features are enlarged. That includes larger vents and air intakes. Front fascia hosts a blacked-out grille and more aggressive bumpers. Similar styling cues can be found on the Civic Type-R model that comes with a bigger scoop and recognizable three-section grille. Ridgeline Type R will also introduce more carbon fiber materials and plenty of red accents. 19-inch wheels are offered as standard, and the customers can even buy optional 20-inch rims. The rear part will sport a two-way tailgate, reshaped taillights, and the in-bed trunk feature. Upright Interior Design Inside the cabin, 2021 Honda Ridgeline Type R will look amazing. The mid-size pickup truck will offer a lot of premium details and a lot of space. Unlike the base model, the Type R version looks more upright, and it delivers premium stuff. That includes leather upholstery, sportier steering wheel, a lot of red accents and contrast stitching. A flat-bottom steering wheel looks unique and very sporty. The new gauge cluster is available, along with the bigger tachometer. Clutch pedal and new gearshift are also available. The layout of buttons and controls is simple, and the interior is driver-oriented. You won’t have to worry about comfort, longer trips, and ride quality. Potent V6 Gets a Turbocharger Of course, when it comes to Type R models, the engine is the main topic. New 2021 Honda Ridgeline Type R will most likely use a 3.5-liter V6, just like the regular model. However, this engine will get further improvements. For a start, Honda will install a turbocharger. Thanks to that, this engine won’t produce 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. Instead, Type R will generate around 450 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of twists. Furthermore, the direct-injection fuel system and new VTEC system are also available. Thanks to all updates, Ridgeline Type R is ready to conquer. A standard AWD system will help this high-performance pickup to reach its potential. 2021 Honda Ridgeline Type R Price and Release Date The brand-new 2021 Honda Ridgeline Type R will start at around $50,000. That is more than the Ridgeline’s range-topping Black Edition trim level. Ridgeline Type R will become Honda’s first high-performance pickup truck ever built. This model will be released in the second half of 2020. Most likely, competitors are Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and Ford Ranger Raptor.

    New Honda Shuttle 2015

Replacement for the Fit Shuttle, but I guess Honda decision to drop the "Fit" moniker in attempt to make the new model a class above the Fit. IMO, this is a decent model (in look and size) comparable to the Airwave.

    Respray or new bumper/bodykit?

Hello. Would like to seek some opinions here. Thinking of respraying my car as the paintwork is turning yellowish and there are paintwork damages (stone chips, dings and dangs) on the bumper. Previous owner also used liquid paper to try to mask up the stone chips. If I were to respray on the current bumper, after refibre/putty+respray, would there be a risk of the paintwork cracking after sometime? Or would it actually be wiser to replace the bumper with a good condition secondhand one followed by respray? I'm keeping my options opened. May be a good time to change new bodykit as well but not exactly familiar with the different types.
