deballstopshere 2nd Gear October 6, 2014 Share October 6, 2014 My car comes with OEM decals, or decals that were installed by the manufacturer. They are rather small decals placed. I like them a lot and I want to preserve them for as long as I can. Lately the decals are showing signs of peeling off. Any sort of thing I can do to protect these decals? Like a clear coat sticker to paste over them?? ↡ Advertisement

deballstopshere 2nd Gear October 7, 2014 Author Share October 7, 2014 Normal decals but installed in France (cos car is from France). Actually I only want to protect two decals that are circular in shape as they cannot be reproduced from decal shops. The rest like the chequered flag boxes no issue. Xers007 Supercharged October 9, 2014 Share October 9, 2014 spray a few layer of clear coat on the decals.... but since it would not look nice to just spray that portion, so i suggest to spray your whole car... but are you willing to part the money to just preserve the decals....
Incom 1st Gear October 9, 2014 Share October 9, 2014 If the decals are well-sticked, it can actually lasted for quite a long time. If its peeling, means before sticking it, the surface got some dirt. Wash and wax your car regularly. Always park under shelter also helps. There are some decal shops which can help to replicate the exact same pattern as those on your car, but the materials will be different. My 2 cents worth.

Will it turn yellow under the hot sun? After some time dirt and grime accumulate at the edges making it fugly. Aiya...remove the decal altogether. ↡ Advertisement
