Bought a second hand Ford Focus that still have warranty.

Price is good. Depreciation is low.

Heard and read of the GB issue.

But did not face any problem with mine.

Maybe due to new firmware for GB.

Was told my TCM firmware was updated in Feb.

Overall drive is good. Fuel consumption is higher than Jap cvt for sure.

As for RM service, will only know after my next service.

But before I bought the car, the email response from RM seems good. And the service guy is responsive to whatsapp and email.

Hope I will have a better experience at RM servicing. Will be going for servicing in June.

Juzt to sum up.

Good car, lots of features for Titanuum model. FC can be better. Good 2nd hand buy cause have warranty. Standard is 5 yrs. Service cost and standard yet to find out. Will update after my servicing.

Congrats! How old is your ride? What's the mileage and where did you buy it from? Care to share details?

Bought from Thrive Auto with 70k mileage for a 3 yrs 10 months car at $63000.

It is a titanium model.

There is another similar car with lower mileage on sgcarmart now.

Service update from RM.

Did calibration and firmware refresh. Drive seems better.

Service level ok. No free taxi ride to workplace.

Volvo have. Haha.

I do not have major issue so no problem for RM.

Routine servicing.

Further Update on my ownership of the 2015 Ford Focus Wagon. This is a continual serie of my posts to highlight experience and or events relating to this car bought new from Regent motors.

1. 3 Aug 2016. Driver seat height adjustment lever's plastic cover grip broke and was replaced by Regent under warranty.

2. The small compartment on on the right hand side of the steering wheel, (below the light switch knob) has an inordinate amount of gap at the back of the pocket. This can and has caused items (esp keys) to fall through that gap and lodge inside the dash innards. Close the pocket door VERY GENTLY to reduce the chance that yr item will be fling thru this gap.

Its a pain to find your house key missing and then having to mess around for ages inside the back of the dash to see if its lodged there.

Another poor detailing of the 2025/16Ford Focus.

The Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost is going for $101,888 for this weekend. I think RM is aggressively trying to increase sales.

Spotted a test drive FOCUS 1.0 today.

Pick up is fast for the 123 bhp and 170Nm of Torque.

But the price is not favourable. Rather top up $4K to get the Jetta 1.4 Trendline and gain an extra 30Nm of Torque, a massive boot and more rear leg room , and higher OMV, so actual price difference is negligible.

I'd rather get this focus, with a proper 6sp autobox and made in germany.

Jetta not made in Germany?

Jetta is assembled in Mexico.

Just like the Toyota Thairolla that is assembled in Thailand.

VW sales person says the DSG issue has been resolved and all VW registered from 2013 do not face any gearbox issues.

Ya right. Tell the sales person talk is free. Put down in writing they he/she will pay if fail.

Audi also using DSG. Is it facing same issues as VW?

It has no problem at all. People expects a robotised manual gearbox to drive smoother than a slushbox. It's very difficult to explain to the lay person.... :XD:
