the ford's ecoboost 1.0T  and 1.5T on on fiesta, focus, mondeo are the more interesting pairing. it attracts higher CEVS rebate and low road tax, yet performance is still good.

was looking at importing a mondeo diesel 1.5T a few months ago and was quoted in the region of $58K without COE.

Actually this 1.0T is a direct competitor to 308...

I wouldn't see it as a direct competitor to the 308, I expect it would be maybe $10k cheaper. More of an Altis or Mazda3 competitor I would think.

A hatch 308 is about $100k. Expecting this Focus to be selling at $90k? Doubt Regent price is tat friendly with the kind of pricing for Mondeo

Sorry, I'm thinking of the 308SW, so $5k less than the 308 hatch still seems possible to me. Weren't they advertising Focus for $90k during the motorshow? Then again that was probably trend model...

Test drove e 1.0T focus. No feeling of underpowered. However i noted e vibration n start/stop seems to be rougher then 308

Wow... just only saw them notifying that the Focus 1.0 Ecoboost is finally here in S'pore over at Facebook & you already manage to go test drive... very fast leg fast hand indeed  [thumbsup]

From the website only see the hatchback ver, are the sedan & wagon available? Got paddle shifter, sun/moon roof? Have they release the price? Thanks!

No peddle no sunroof n only hatch available for test. $104k b4 today coe rise

Thanks for the info. I thought i saw the paddle shift in 1 of the pic in the gallery on Regent website.

Doubt Regent may increase the price much especially during this weekend car show... otherwise will be price out by the other makes liao... think 104k is more costly than the Pug 308.

Was actually quite hopeful about the 1.0 Ecoboost Focus until I read the ST review.  The Fuel consumption reported is really bad, wondered what kind of conditions the review car was put through and if it was representative of regular driving conditions.  The much touted focus handling also did not reflect well.

Anyone else has any further feedback on it?
