Turbocharged

With lights on.

Mondeo activates the low fuel warning at 80km as well.

It would seem that Ford's system is not programmed to activate the low fuel light at a certain remaining amount of fuel but rather at 80km of expected remaining range.

Thanks alot for your advice. :)

Yea, it sure helps. Thanks alot. Very used to my Jap car service which cost barely $100 each time. Sometime $70-80 too!

So not sure how well will I adjust to doing servicing at double what I'm used to. :)

Sgd300 plus is authorized agent servicing.

You can for allen motor , specialist in Ford.

Most ford drivers will recommend him.

I did servicing at Sgd100 plus with him.

Yes always lights on at 80km.

After top up last night. First time experience this.

Thats realy good, do u think its due to ur driving habit, or do u do alot of highway, or did u change something. Cos i think alot of us are getting 10km/l at best, at times i get 8-9, and its always jus my wife and i mostly. Obviously driving habit can affect fc but but iv driven many other cars including a focus Mk2 and this is by far the worst fc im getting. i think my full tank is about 420-430km

My driving habit is not light footed unless when on the hway and maintiaining at 90-100km/hr.

70% hway and 30% urban.

Like i mentioned before, changed rims and installed rs chip. Also, i changed intake.

And my ride is lowered as well.

This is a 1.0 ecoboost right? Does any of those changes affect warranty?

Been driving for 6 months plus, my FC is around 13km/l +/- 5km, everything stock and not really light footed, usually with my wife as passenger, so really do not understand how to achieve 10km/l mileage.

How you lowered your ride ? Changed to coilover or change your original coil only ?

Are you willing to provide pictures of your car rims ? I may change to either 17" or 18" :secret-laugh:

Eibach lowered springs.

Spore has too little choices for 17inch rims for our car's pcd.

Mine i bought and shipped back from Taiwan. Taiwan brand forged rims.

Google ASGA rims.

Hmm, taiwan should be a good place to obtain Ford-compatible stuff, they have a lot of Fords there

Hi

Ford focus 1.0 drivers

Any one face issue with their radiator fan spoilt and 6speed gear box issue before? Just want to know the reliability.

Mine faced this issue and have fixed.

Thank for the feedback.

Hi I'm looking at the Ford Focus ecoboost 1.0 My current Focus is 7 years + Any feedback on fuel consumption and transmission? Heard that one can only get 11 - 13km per litre I'm getting 11km per litre now so am surprised the economist is no better Heard that the dual clutch gearbox in USA cause a lot of problems The SE claim that the version sold in SG is a six speed automatic transmission and not what is sold in USA Thanks for your feedback

Thanks Davo23 It does look like fc not very good Only one bro reported 18km per litre on Ford interest group in Facebook during school holidays Maybe he drove to Malaysia and used cruise control Another bro claimed to reached 898 km on one tank! Ha ha My 2010 Focus give me 11km to a litre so the ecoboost seems not a major improvement on fc

Hi Ford bros, I've enjoyed the car and the help in the SGFordClub. While I would really like to get another Focus I need to think of my pocket as I'm likely to retire in a few years, if not earlier. This afternoon my colleague let me test drive his Mazda 2 and I was pleasantly surprised by the road hugging and cornering. Suspension is also not bouncy like Jap car. I almost could not believe it was a Japanese car. Most Mazda 3 owners are getting 13 - 14km per litre so that's the norm. Granted the torque and bhp of Focus and arguably safety is better (both are NCAP 5), I am NOW swayed by the Mazda. Besides RM has no stock till Sep end and have raised price by $3,000 for the new stock. Mazda 3 deluxe comes with additional features for about $4k more with stock for the colours I like. No wonder people commented that Mazda is the most conti like car. Thanks again for all the comments and help offered in the group!
