jjandyy 4th Gear August 28, 2017 Share August 28, 2017 If you need 3rd party solution to LDA, FCW etc, I would recommend you to check out Mobileye. It is an IL startup and pioneer in such technologies. Intel bought the company over recently. I was at IL 2 months ago, and most taxi and uber cars have Mobileye installed. That's how I found out about the product. Google Mobileye 630 and you will find local dealers. Need professional installation though. Cheers! ↡ Advertisement
GerryChua 2nd Gear August 28, 2017 Share August 28, 2017 Hi Gerry, Although I test drove the turbo harrier twice, I din have opportunity to test out the lane departure system long with all other features via the various settings of car computer. Stock is always the best and tied to warranty but beggars cannot be choosers and thinkware's LDA is a good enough alternative since I cannot retrofit Subaru's eyesight safety system. Also, we cannot and would not retrofit 3rd party autonomous braking equivalent system of harrier turbo. Cheers. Richard Test drove the Harrier. LDA was working initially for a short distance. Subsequently when I purposely sway across the lane gently for a few times, the alert did not come on. SE was dumb folded.

SE was dumb folded.Hi Gerry, Thinkware has sensitivity setting to adjust via BT via phone or my android HU (can also view live front like most DVR cam) but not sure of the setting of harrier turbo cos need time to nav around. For all, there should sensitivity setting since same camera based DLA (and front collision alert) need to know if you are filtering lane purposely or really dozing off when not signalling activated. Sorry by cannot advise further and hope bros who had collected their harrier turbo and had used thinkware can advise further. Cheers. Richard

Hi jjandyy, Cool product and great info ...din know and tks ! flikmy 1st Gear August 29, 2017 Share August 29, 2017 you can still upgrade as long the car is not delivered. take your time to consider which model suits your needs. for upgrading MI has dr4302ch or dr650ch. Unfortunately, got my car in Jan and am stuck with DR350. However, on another note, the car cam hasn't failed me and has come in useful.
Atom Neutral Newbie August 29, 2017 Share August 29, 2017 Hi guys! Gonna join Forester club soon ! collection of car (FNA) in a few days time. Got a couple of questions here, hope u guys can help. 1. Read a bit about ceramic/nano coating for the car. My SE recommend a guy who does the coating at my MSCP. Read up in this forum , and there seems to be many different types until I m a little confused. Any recommendations that you guys have done before for your own car? And what's the cost? Better to do it at the shops? But more expensive I think vs the carpark ones... 2. SE also gave free Solar film, says whole Subaru uses it, forgot what brand but is it good? 3. Any need to change the stock tyres? Read from this thread abt changing to primacy 3 tyres..... change when new better right, can offset the cost of the new tyres. Thanks for your help in advance.. Btw, any WhatsApp chatgrp or forum for foresters?.. Not going to richard's extend of mod.. but maybe doing slowly...
Chucky2007 Turbocharged August 29, 2017 Share August 29, 2017 Hi Ashley, PM you for your help on the 3M solar film ...TIA. On Alcantara instead of leather, it was this greyish dirty looking and dust magnet of the turbo harrier "premium" grade that prompted me on luxurious version with napa leather or nothing ..until fxt came and fortunately with plain old leather. However I do note that the Alcantara used in black edition is better though not for me still. Cheers. Richard Richard, have you got any recommendation for for shops that do Napa leather upholstery for FXT? I felt the Tan brown leather quality (that I paid $300 extra) is really not nice.. quality not nice and the fitting is not nice at all. Looking at changing the seat leather. If you are looking into it, can count me in. Tia Haven't you been driving the fxt for the past year or two?Collect car after servicing mah.. I can recognise Pocus car from 1 km away

Pls go and talk to them as well as view selection since wide range of $. No plan for me to change leather seats but did buy the leather center console cover and mfd cover from Japan to improve a little. Will see if leather inserts on door panels is needed after collecting car this Saturday :) Cheers. Richard
