richard_crl032 6th Gear January 16, 2018 Share January 16, 2018 Hi richard_crl032, awesome! I am interested to do up my ride but don't know where to start..Hi Notknow11, These are pretty high quality eagle leds with metal casing, removable electronics, osram led and joining cables are with water proof connectors: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00QUGWV4Q/ref=oh_aui_i_d_old_o0_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They are expensive but hope they will last much much longer than taobao ones in harsh exposed car environment needing 10 yrs life with osram led and very importantly, the removable electronic allowed me to seal up with silicon in addition to stock gasket. Remove the plastic attachment, drill with provided circle saw, add cables to car batteries and switch to car cabin and you are all set with nice really white lights which switched on and clear when off unlike taobao ones that I removed. Cheers. ↡ Advertisement
Chucky2007 Turbocharged January 16, 2018 Share January 16, 2018 Anyone know where to get this bumper drl with 5 bead led?I got from subaru stockist Lesun, OEM subaru, which is the same set MI selling at $800+. . Fitting is very good and if it’s not switched on, can’t even notice that it’s there.Hi richard_crl032, awesome! I am interested to do up my ride but don't know where to start..What do you intend to do? Cosmetic, handing, performance? For a start, I would recommend that you visit Lesun or MI TPY spareparts department for the WRX STI 20mm Anti Roll Bar. Cost around $160-180 and installation usually $20-50 depending which workshop. MI will not install for you as it’s not FXT original parts (FXT ARB is 16mm)

Chucky2007 Turbocharged January 17, 2018 Share January 17, 2018 Hi Chucky, is there a separate switch for those bumper drls? Bcos I need them to be off when go for inspection :) Yes can install at most accessories shop such as Soon Lee, Trust motion or class auto. For mine I didn't link it to be switch on and dimmed at night all.. All control via a switch for me to decide if I want to switch on or off. I want to do the bumper drl for the start. But am interested in the sti arb after seeing the good feedback. Mine is FNA on XT bumper. Can fix? Can I think as FNA & FXT suspension and chassis same

Can fix? Hi Notknow11, In line with lighting mod, perhaps you wish to also look at foglight options. There is there is expensive chameleon foglight at SGD800+ that is HID and uses mechanical shutter to flip between white and yellow lights but I also found cheaper option with LED that does similar and more at SGD100 without shipping: https://www.sendico.com/yahoo/lot_t549372231.html It is basically plug and play with very miniature driver of fan type that you do not hear and while default to white 6000k temp lights, an on/off flip of the foglight switch toggles it to yellow 3000k lights and another flip to 4200k temp yellowish white, then to alternate left/right sequencing and than to last flip to blinking from 6000k to 3000k to 4200k ... pretty cool. One forester fxt bro had joined me since he will quite impress with how bright it was albeit not like chameleon version since the latter is HID but good enuff for me and this bro. I found them during when active in mods for qashqai and they are one that welcome owners to get their own taobao stuff to fix for a reasonable price but more importantly, try to solve issues when they arise even though stuff are not from them. Cheers, Richard PS: No commercial interest in Aestmod but un-shamely their supporter for the past help rendered to me Edited January 17, 2018 by richard_crl032

Hey Chucky, It should be hot but never touch to hidden access .. fan type heatsink. It is still sourced from tiong but at least by Jap brand co ... still I bought spare pairs just in case no longer available and universal car type H11/H8 and save shipping cost. Cheers. Scoobyfxt 3rd Gear January 17, 2018 Share January 17, 2018 Just saw subaru tv ad on eyesight which was touted as one of subaru's 4 core technologies going fwd. The other 3 are boxer engine, sym awd and the new global platform. Though our beloved SJ forester only have 2 of those 4, we still luv it to bits don't we ? Cheers, Richard you can also buy Philips or IPF LED foglights from amazon japan, and IPF has the yellow/white switching ones. but some poor reviews cos both made in China, but at least you know they are 2200lumens (or 2400lumens white) and 2000lumens respectively (for yellow). more reliable one from Koito but yellow only 900lumens... Hey Sarion, Cool .. however, 26kyen vs 6kyen from amazon japan is >4x which makes IPF not a good alternative and without flashing and left/right flashing functionality: https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/aw/d/B077VLBXSM/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?__mk_ja_JP=カタカナ&qid=1516201783&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=ipf+h11&dpPl=1&dpID=618ZnK9S6zL&ref=plSrch https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B074TDFS1L/ref=abs_brd_tag_dp?smid=AN1VRQENFRJN5 Please see photo on specification for the suparee. FXT2016 Neutral Newbie January 17, 2018 Share January 17, 2018 Lately, I have noticed a knocking sound when turning the steering wheel either clockwise or anti-clockwise when reversing into a parking lot. It sounded like coming from a lose joint. Sent car for servicing yesterday. MI checked and suspect the sound comes from the steering wheel rack Suggest to replace but no stock, need to order from Japan, takes 2 months. Has anyone encountered similar issue before? My ride is FNA, coming to a year in Jan. Lately, I have noticed a knocking sound when turning the steering wheel either clockwise or anti-clockwise when reversing into a parking lot. My post was on multi colors Chameleon and Suparee foglights. Your post mentioned only IPF is multiple colors and also from tiong brand non-tiong coy... same like Suparee which is 1/4 the price as found out. I oso have no intention to burn up mine or any bro's forester who took my recommendation "just because of a stupid foglamp overheating" Enuff said ..
