air con not centralized by building management meh? mine is so cold that i have to ask the maintenance to block two outlets  [laugh]  [laugh]

It's buildings and public transport with a/c set very high I can't stand.

Polyclinic staff all wear jackets but most patients sit there freezing.

No longer go to cinema because too cold.

Ditto MRT, most trains not all, but especially buses in rainy weather.

In Fair Price have to wear fleece to shop anywhere near the cool section.

No wonder so many Singaporeans have colds, coughs and flu.

If/when we have a/c on at home it's always set at 28c which really just dehumidifies rather than cools.

Temperature set high, people will also complain hot and stuffy.

fire safety regulations ...

apparently if in fire, they don't want the other building to be affected  [bounce1]  [bounce1]

so back here, we will all be cooked alive if there is a fire.

confirm dont have, or else, there will be no outdoor work in Singapore...

my workplace is a closed warehouse with a few windows ... and 3 roller shutters, which is required to be closed when not in use.

if working outdoor, at least even if hot, air will still be moving and not baking one in like an oven.

I used to work in the engine room, temperature is 40+ degreesC and above!!! If got MOM regulation, let me know and I will pass it on to my employer, RSN.

Then worked in the shipyard, ship's engine room, cargo tanks, ballast tanks, sewage tank, pump room, etc..... The farking blower is for ventilation only. Nothing to bring down the temperature to 25 degreesC. Normally, it hovers around 40+ degreesC. When there is hotwork, temperature goes up a lot more. MOM inspectors come once in a while also never ask my employer to install aircon for us. Got MOM regulation on this?

apparently there is !

I donno why ... but yesterday MOM people was at my workplace ... (maybe the accident last year?)

and the inspector noticed the heat issue at my warehouse and put that as an issue that the lessee has to settle !!

I don't know how long they will take but they will have to do something about it fast since MOM has already said something about it.
