For those of you who are wondering why the reverse camera does not show the yellow guidelines when reversing:

I checked with Tomo-CSE Autotrim and the SE told me that they actually disconnected the cabling for that function!

Reason is that the reverse camera is not mounted exactly in the center for the ASX, so when you reverse the yellow guidelines will show it a bit off center. If you depend on that to reverse into a car park lot, it will be not centered when you park.

If you want to, they can reconnect back the cable for you.

There is a video clip here:

http://tomocse.com.sg/video-7/

And you can also install a pair of front sensors with beeper / LED lights indicator.

The touch screen for the Multimedia Entertainment system installed by Tomo-CSE Autotrim for the ASX is hopeless.

The touch screen is not sensitive, you have to jab it a few times before it registers a finger press.

I have to use a stylus (for tablets) for the smaller buttons in the settings menu.

If you use your finger to press the small buttons, it is really messy and you can press the wrong button. [thumbsdown]  :a-bang:

Wonder if anyone who collected their ASX has encountered this problem?

Its somewhat annoying. Think Pioneer, Kenwood and Clarion units have much better touch screens.

The trick is, don't use your skin on the finger to touch. Use your fingernails to touch.

Thanks for the trick on the touch screen...

I did sense that issue when test driving... but saw the SE click quite easily so did not pay attention to it....

Now i know how he do it... thanks man !!

I just spoke to my SE from Ubi, he said that the Reverse Camera, Yellow Guide Lines, are connected when they hand over the car. The car handed over recently are of a newer version.

Ken880...since you just collect your white from Ubi, 2 weeks back

Can share if this is  true?

How's the feedback on the Reverse Camera and Touch screen sensitivity from your experience?

Hi Pringle yes the reverse cam does show the lines ( green yellow and red). But like Clement say because the reverse cam is off centered you cant depend fully on it. Car is slightly further right from what the screen is showing.

Yes touch screen is not as sensitive but i think good enough to do its job. Havent really explore it though.

Anyone intending to change to pioneer HU?

Thanks for the tip, think it works!

But it is rather poor ergonomics, compared to a phone/tablet touch screen.

There are many ASX colours chosen, see what the colour you chose says about you here:

http://visual.ly/what-does-colour-your-car-say-about-you

the technology used is different. Can't compare.

Anyone did sound proofing for the ASX?

The estimated pricing and contact?

Price varies

it depends on the brand/models

single layer or double layer

good/bad workmanship...etc

estimated about $350< (2 layers) x 4 doors

This seems to match what one of the reviews, ie between 500 to 550km, and translates to a fc of 10km/l.

BTW, if the reverse cam line is off-centered, can we say its faulty and not accept it?
