Great choice. Makes absolute sense to choose a 100% Japan made Mazda 3, than a Thai assembled one, like the Toyota Altis which costs $13K more.

As low as possible cost but with as much value as possible, agree that kimchi is way to go.

Either Hyuandai and Kai is fine I think.

Had owned Hyundai (Matrix) before - quite ok.

All cars in Singapore min. already have 2 air-bags so I assume your "reasonable" amount means more than 2 - else you no need to mention (by default, all cars already have 2).

If want more than 2 air-bags (which, by default, nowadays means 6), then can consider higher price/spec models of Hyundai Elantra or Kia K3 but these will be above $100K (unless you want to bid for very low COE non-guaranteed - in which case, you might probably not get the car and just waste the time).

The 2 cars above are cousins (same engine and same platform) so if price and simplicity (less things to spoil) is consideration, then Hyundai is cheaper/simpler.

That is the cheapest I think for kimchi with full set of air-bags.

But most basic mazda3 is now below $100k and has more features (including HID and sunroof) than the most basic elantra which is above $100k. Based on this i would have to say mazda 3.

The basic Elantra is still below 100k. You have to make your visit to see what is the real price. Sg car mart also do not give you the trade in value of your car, financing terms, interest rate, other restrictive t&c differences between different AD. The features of each model is also not accurate and differs in each batch of the same brand.

Mazda 3 is 1 of the most value for $$ car as of now. If only they have a turbo it will be even sweeter..

The turbo version is coming....it's called MPS. But then you won't see this car in Sg...too expensive and the $$ can buy you a conti. Everyone in the world is waiting for the unveiling of the BM MPS.

What car is value for money? Any bang for the buck buys? A or cat b is fine.

Fuel economy n safety is important. Must be able to seat at least four comfortably. the lower the better. Sushi kimchi prata also can. How is Hyundai avante?

Thanks in advance.

Some info abt this brand name:

Saab Automobile AB is a Swedish premium car manufacturer. It was formed in 1945 when Saab AB began a project to design a small automobile. The first production model, the Saab 92, was launched in 1949. In 1968 the parent company merged with Scania-Vabis, and ten years later the Saab 900 was launched, in time becoming Saab's best-selling model. In the mid-1980s the new Saab 9000 model also appeared.
