A question just happened to cross my mind. If i have solar film, do i still need the shade? And vice versa? Both block heat right? Maybe solar film also block harmful rays ?

I believe the solar film blocks out most of the harmful UV rays. But you still need the shade to reduce the amount of sunlight getting into your car thereby reducing the internal temp of the car.

 

Noticeable difference when you drive on a sunny day. And i need it more since my place is an open carpark.

 

Only downside is going through customs.. my passengers have trouble removing the rear window shades. Cause of the snug fit. I end up having to reach behind and remove it myself.

I think there is no such thing as standard.they r always guarding their margi. E,g if u got half year road tax, maybe u won't get the camera etc. some gets everything. So everyone's deal is different. But believe those cheap stuff like floor mat usually have one.

So if solarfilm plus shade will be quite dark. More privacy. I wont be driving across causeway so no issue for me.

Actually no eh. Tat time it was written half a year free road tax. But can actually get them to make it to 1yr instead.

 

So now they give 1yr instead of half and tat mean no need ask liao.

Ya front windscreen and windows must allow 70% of light through, rear windows and windscreen 25%.

Scarlee the free rikecool solar film also will give different grade depending on your negotiation skill. Then the car sale industry is so dark!!

Ok la no complains from me since its free from C&C (the cheapest rikecool tint is $950).. i even went to rikecool to replace my passenger window film as it peeled off.

 

No hassle, called to make an appointment with my vehicle number. Job done in 30 mins.

The 1k servicing should be done in an hour or less. Mine took about 45 mins.

 

Dont forget to ask for the complimentary wash, but it will take slightly longer. I told them i cannot wait more than 1 hr so they gave me a carwash voucher instead.
